    Genesis Securities, Pros and Cons

I was thinking of going with them a while back, but they refused to give me the buying power that I needed. I think most of the firms that work through them do not exceed 10x1 intraday. I use the Blackwood software through Benchmarq Trading and have no complaints (and the buying power is...

Someone will, but its an antiquated platform now: they have not released a new version in over 3 years.

Are shorts more available at Prop firms?

Shorting stocks has a lot to do with the desk that handles short orders ("LOCATES"), as well as how early you place your short order relative to everyone else. A stock like FFH, will only have so many shares to short, NO MATTER WHERE YOU TRADE. Actually, I find Penson pretty good. They are...

All In Deals - Are they worth it if you trade listed?

I asked a few traders who have all-in-deals, and from what I understand, IT DOES NOT EXIST. You could be scalping NVR & SEB all day ( I know someone who does this) and get charged hundreds for SEC fees. John

U.S. Steel - Overextended or Not

I trade X/NUE everyday so these types of moves are almost non-existent the past few months. DEFINITELY worth a correction. Im looking for a +1 at least.

U.S. Steel - Overextended or Not

This stock has been on a tear lately, even though steel imports from China are coming into the U.S. in droves. I shorted at $50 and am holding. Opinions?

All In Deals - Are they worth it if you trade listed?

MNX/RNRBAND Had an e-mail conversation with one of the guys and he confirmed that SEC fees are not included, but all ECN's are. I told him that I mostly do listed, and it might not be worth it for me, so he replied that if I do over 1M per month, I will have a rate of of $0.00225 +...

    This market wizard needs help

If you look at his overall track record, it is pretty impressive. I am interested to see what his returns are compared to market volatility, i.e. he could be up 2% but with only 20% of the volatility: that's impressive, irregardless of the return.

All In Deals - Are they worth it if you trade listed?

Definitely: get some volume going and you will see a difference in your rates.

All In Deals - Are they worth it if you trade listed?

newguy1, Your volume is, and please do not get offended, is so miniscule, you are not even close to being even under $0.0075, forget about $0.015. Once you pick up some volume, your rates will go much, much lower, wherever you are. John
