Backing up and deleting watchlists in think or swim

So, I gather there is no other way to delete watchlists, besides clicking the gear-like symbol>delete>then deleting each watchlist individually? Is there a way to just nuke all the watchlists? Or nuke all your settings, including watchlists, workspaces, studies, strategies, etc? Like, a...

Day trade US market with less than 25k account ?

For cash accounts it varies from broker to broker. Most will allow you to make more than 3 trades per 5 day rolling period, since a strict interpretation of the PDT rule only applies it to margin accounts. However, from a practicality viewpoint it's virtually impossible to day trade with a...

Does anyone trust the content of fool or seekingalpha?

It seems to me that anytime there is someone pumping the stock the next day or week or so, the stock takes a big ol' dump. I know there must be some honest writers there, but all the fake pumpers just ruin the site. I have to read the whole article and then do my own due diligence to figure...

Wall Street Traders Are About To Be In A World Of Pain Read more: http://www.busines

These robots are programmed by humans. Artificial intelligence is a misnomer of sorts. It can't be done. Programs can only spit back what a human programmed it to do. At the heart of these programs is human emotion and opinion.

    The great Quantitative Easing bubble

Has anyone actually calculated how much of this money has been pumped into the market? Now, I'm not the worlds leading expert in QE here, so correct me if my formula is off. If we take all the money that the banks have made from selling bonds to the Fed, and subtract that from the value of...

    Smallest amount to trade silver?

Where do you live? The US has all kinds of stupid rules. The excuse is that they keep people from losing their money trading. Now try and say that with a straight face.

Oh, I meant, a physical book made of paper. Thanks though.

What programming languages are compatible with amibroker + quantshare?

Thanks. I just wish they would have a physical book, well manual, for these programs. It would be more useful than 80% of the, "how to trade" books I've read.

    salary requirements for margin accounts

What's a general minimum for financial requirements, such as net worth/yearly salary/etc, when applying for a margin account? In respect to trading stocks. I know that it probably varies from broker to broker, but I just want a general idea. Thanks.

    How High?

But what's going to set off another 08 or 29 or 87 or 73? All those crashes had real fundamental reasons why they crashed, not simply, "hey, this chart looks overbought." I'm not suggesting that this time is different, it's not, but for the life of me I can't think of what the bubble might be...

Youtube channels that have to do with trading

The only one I'm subscribed to is T3Live. For some odd reason I can't find any others that upload regularly. So, I'm wondering if anyone knows a good channel? Thanks.

Do you believe these stages are quite common and logical?

That looks like a case of over-analysis.

large ask size in a rally in active trader view

I was thinking something along this line. Since ToS is a mostly "retail" platform it could be that what I'm seeing is "retailers" selling short or selling out of their positions too quickly. Meanwhile, what I'm not seeing is the "smart money" selling to them, as that info is just "hidden"...

large ask size in a rally in active trader view

While watching 'active trader' with the Think or Swim platform, it seems to me that when a stock rally's hard that there is a large amount of sellers on the ask and few buyers on the bid. At least, the number in the red/ask column is consistently larger than the number in the green/bid column...

Backing up and deleting watchlists in think or swim

How do people manage their watchlists in ToS? It seems to me if the lists were laid out in a Windows Explorer type view it would make it 100x easier to manage.

Backing up and deleting watchlists in think or swim

Ok...so... The watchlists seem to be located on the server. I don't understand why it is done this way. Maybe to lock you into the software? Is there a function in excel that would automatically import them? Is it possible script the exportation/deletion with/without excel? I know you can...

crap stocks on yahoo msg boards

Why is it that crappy stocks like RSH get so many posts, but actual good stocks like EMN have nearly no posts? It's such an awesome contrarian indicator.

    Why good platforms ignore mac?

You don't really know what UNIX is, do you? eh... Mac OSX 10.5 was released in 2007, which isn't compatible with Flash Player, according to adobe's website. My aunt had 10.5 and I thought she just didn't know what she was doing until I tried to update her flash player, and yes it's intel...
