IQFeed data vs other data providers

Yes, actually at many occasions I have found many and major differences with my IQFeed charts and other sources. I thought going with IQFeed would save me money but if the data is inaccurate I will have to use another possibly more expensive data provider.

    Genesis Laser Release Notes?

I tried Laser many months ago and I was not impressed at all. It seemed like a very limited platform. Did they implement server-side stops ?

IQFeed data vs other data providers

I would like to compare my 3-min chart of HANS for January 9th with various data providers. I would appreciate it if you could each put your chart down and specify your data provider. Also, if anyone has done some comparison tests, I would like to know about your results. Thanks ...

Is there a free, realtime charting package I can use with Scottrade?

http://www.quotetracker.com/qsources.shtml It will work, but it will not be reliable. Trust me on that. I tried IB's data feed and it sucked also. I'm sure It will be the same if you use Scottrade's data feed. From QuoteTracker website (about Scottrade) : "Streaming quotes are OK...

Is there a free, realtime charting package I can use with Scottrade?

You can use QuoteTracker (free), but I suggest you invest in a better data feed. I use IQFeed (20$/month) and I am very satisfied with it. Please send me a private message if you decide to go with IQFeed because I can get a credit for the referral. Thanks.

    Wall Street Job-Hunter Chronicle

Although they are required by law (in Canada anyways) to pay you for any type of training or tryout, it's not a good idea to ask if they will actually pay you if you don't get the job. By asking that question you are actually putting doubts in their heads about considering hiring you. You...

    Gap Ups and Gap Downs

You might want to check www.prophet.net. When you are a member, you can do a ProphetScan and specify the filters you want, like gap up/down and the size of the gap (%) from the previous day's high/low. I'm not 100% sure it works during pre-market but it might... You can also get a free trial.

Thank you all for all your inputs. stephencrowley : About limebrokerage and their API, how much software development was required ? The problem it seems you cannot get historical data but just current day data ? So getting 6 months of 5 min. bars from 20 companies would not be...

    Unreliable historical intraday data

I downloaded historical intraday (1 min., 5 min.) data from both ESignal and Prophet.net. To my big surprise every stock had missing bars ! Sometimes 1 bar in a day but some other times more than 20 bars in a day ! By the way, I determined this using a script I wrote in Wealth-Lab. It is...
