    Do you use a Mac?

Thinkpads, the old IBM, are now Lenovo. I don’t know if it’s changed — mines 18 months old, but it’s rock solid. Allegedly you can drop it and throw a bottle of wine all over it and it’ll be fine, though forgive me if I don’t try and prove it to you

    Do you use a Mac?

I'm with you on an iphone, but when it comes to work, no contest. I recently got a brand new Macbook air, looks stylish of course. But first you've the clunky adapters you need before you can actually plug anything into it, then the wifi signal is the weakest I've ever come across and drops out...

    Do you use a Mac?

Don’t. Utter style over substance. There’s a good reason pc: Mac ratio is 70:30. Ps I use both

How can I leverage sensational media clip that will crash Fortune 500 company?

It’s getting them — any of them — to take you seriously that’ll be the challenge and that’s before questions of legality. I’d start with a big short seller like hindenberg research and see how you get on. You need an in first and foremost, so may be worth trawling for consultants who’ve worked...

London open FX strategy sold for 2.6 EBIT, $16.4m to PE

I can’t believe any VC who’s been around more than 5 minutes would touch it with a bargepole, so either they’re witless or not involved. Let us know if you hear back

London open FX strategy sold for 2.6 EBIT, $16.4m to PE

In the later video he’s bragging of how it took on average 3 days to get from a cold lead to parting with 8k. I smell prison time awaiting, has all the hallmarks. I give it a year

What makes a consistently profitable trader different from others?

All specialists. doesn't matter what tools or data they're using, could be order flow anomalies, oil supply chains, macro-economics, or even TA, they know their area to a greater degree than their peers. And it's their specialisms that give them greater ability to time trades which makes all the...

Need some Help/Advice/Partnering/Coder regarding coding (Ninja C# and/or Tradestation(easy language)

But you can — it’s trivial to omit key data that makes it worthless to outsiders if you’re concerned about sending gold to chat gpt. Just break down the process into chunks and more valuably, you’ll never have to keep returning to the same coder who might well be busy when you need them, to make...

Sorry British slang — means I’m not making fun of you. Interesting pictures anyway it’s interesting what we latch on to when we’re not trying

Question which you don’t need to answer — when you’ve bounced back off the ceiling from your shrooms— and no, I’m not taking the piss, what did those doodles on your journal mean to you?

Foreign Exchange Fixings and Returns Around the Clock-BIS-Banca d'Italia-ECB 12th Workshop on FX

Great post Nighthawk. One's man's poison etc, I used it for years. As an overlay to every strategy, as a key marker when it 'fails', as a trajectory target etc etc. Expanding timeframe of seasonality, GU had something like 5 or 6 concurrent years when it hit the same price, same date every year...

Jury Convicts Hedge-Fund Manager Accused of Rigging Foreign-Exchange Market

Fair point. My guess it just a last gasp desperate defence plea to avoid time in the clink. I don't judge him for that, but unsurprisingly didn't work

Jury Convicts Hedge-Fund Manager Accused of Rigging Foreign-Exchange Market

Bank flow is defending barriers? You’ve seen it, huh? yes. So you’re saying that since manipulation happens all the time we should ignore it? no. The irony is not lost that if the dude had actually hedged his Aussie deltas he would never have been prosecuted. He ramped up longs in the...

Jury Convicts Hedge-Fund Manager Accused of Rigging Foreign-Exchange Market

And good question— the SEC must have brought this. the guys ‘guilty’ sure, but globally it is accepted practice in fx unless you’ve been living under a rock. and they’ve penalised a trader for understanding how it works while meanwhile anything goes under the guise of a delta hedge. Double shabby!

Jury Convicts Hedge-Fund Manager Accused of Rigging Foreign-Exchange Market

Well yes, except the barrier means it was more than just wanting to trade through a price, he knew manipulating the underlying to hit the barrier would pay off. But had he not done it, irrespective of the fundamental pressure upwards, you can bet MS would have kept it below 50 till maturity, and...
