    Suretraders

And would you feel safe being regulated by the Securities Commission of the Bahamas ? I meant U.S. regulation. Who the hell knows what their laws are regarding people trading U.S. stocks over there. It's almost as good as being unregulated. Most of the prop firms here take smaller accounts...

    Suretraders

Why the hell would someone open an account with a place like this ? There are so many red flags with these places. The fact they are offshore and basically unregulated (good luck getting your money out if something goes wrong). It's obvious the IRS is breathing down their necks. Take the...

    Scalping Futures

Yes if you are a scalper and do a ton of trades then your commissions will eat you up. In that case leasing a seat is a great idea. But I've never traded that way. Commissions never really matter much for me. I don't trade a ton each day. One tick slippage from time to time has no real effect on...

    Scalping Futures

With a 1:2 risk:reward and a 50% win clip you can make a lot of money. Is a great edge. Once you realize losses are part of the game then you do what that guy did, just keep moving forwards. Not always easy, but you have to do it. Once you start over thinking things and trying to cherry pick...

    Scalping Futures

"So when you get to the level where you can pick a spot with a really tight stop and trust your method enough to trade some serious size, well then, you have made it! " Bingo. As far as how to pick that spot? Gotta put a ton of time in, do some back testing, then have the confidence to stick...

    Scalping Futures

Great post, especially 2nd part. I have been on desks with guys who literally do that 200 trades a day thing. Threading a needle from the moon to earth seems a lot easier. At the end of the day they are emotionally shot and after costs down money. One guy at a firm I was with in 2002 traded...

    Scalping Futures

I hear ya man. I don't have access to that kind of data. I talk to a handful of traders that have been doing it for a long time. Some of them are ES traders and do very very well. That being said they aren't scalpers that do 100 trades a day. They pick a spot and do very large size. But maybe...

    Scalping Futures

Again...it depends on your definition of a scalp. I know some big ES traders that scalp for 2-3 points and make a lot of money. With the liquidity in the ES one can make a fortune trading like this if they have a good strategy. Scalping for a 1-2 ticks to me sounds like a VERY tough game...

Hey just saw this. One point =4 ticks=one handle = $50.00 Handle was a term that all of my old buddies from the SP pit used to use......

We are getting bombarded by crazy storms here. Let's agree to just ignore each other. I'm actually sick of posting back and forth about the same thing. I am sure most of ET is getting sick of it as well. Good luck with everything.

I'll pass on the invite. I trade during The Asian hours as well now so I can't get out during the week at night.

I am ignoring you. Trust me. I have zero interest in anything you say when it comes to trading. My post on here was adding to what RN had said. You decided to post to me. I'm just replying to your post. I have tried conversing with you on here about trading, but it's useless. You backtrack and...

    Scalping Futures

Definitely disagree with first sentence. Definitely agree with second sentence. I guess it depends on one's definition of scalper. I know guys who scalp ES for 2 ticks ( to me that seems impossible). I know guys who consider 2 handles a scalp (to me seems very viable).

No Surf. I call them like I see them. Every time I criticize you it is based on FACTS. You do nothing but basically pollute this place and even admit you are here to stir things up. You always like to point out page views. You are here to stir shit up, nothing more. I try to overlook things...

Trading & the Zero Sum Game Debate

This magical dividend fairy has the tricked a good part of the investing public. I can't tell you how many people say this stock is paying a 1.00 dividend !!! It's great !!!! They don't realize that the stock price is adjusted down to reflect that 1.00 when it's near time to pay out the...

Why are Futures and Forex more popular than stocks for short-term trading?

Your last point is a great one. One thing that can cause havoc when trading equities are the moves % wise. You see it from time to time in some of the drug related stocks when when news comes out about one of their drugs/pending FDA decisions. Some of them can move 40-50% in seconds. Also Aug...

A few extras: He has been banned numerous times by the owner of ET for breaking rules and annoying 99% of the people on here. He has been involved in altercations on here that almost lead to lawsuits. He has admitted to using aliases at times on here. He has lied about trades he has "taken"...

Why are Futures and Forex more popular than stocks for short-term trading?

You have to obviously see what there average win/loss ratio is. If they average lets say in CL 10 tick winners but their losers are 100 ticks, or even worse they are one of these martingale types who average down then yes, it will lead to ruin. Look at that clown who traded Russell futures in...
