Hand over your strategies and secret computer code.

You are thinking theoretically. The problem is you don't know which bids and asks are genuine/real. If you are in a short position and you have a flash crash, you could have a paper profit in one second and then have the paper profit wiped out in the next second. If you are trying to...

Hand over your strategies and secret computer code.

Depends on the type of volatility. When 10 price levels vanish suddenly in one second and there is a huge hole between the bid and ask, that's unstable volatility. i.e. a problem. The 500 or even 1000 point intraday volatility in the DJIA is not a problem. It's usually orderly...

Best way to make money off a trading system?

Yep, I feel the same. I am trying to figure out how to solve the problem with boredom. I can't make the market move faster. I have seen a bored trader read a book while trading. I don't think that's a good idea.

Looks like CTG in NYC shares the same office as WTS. I checked it out once and encountered a weird unique problem. The main door of their office has a door handle made out of some metal. Almost every time I touched it, it sparked and I got a nice electric jolt. Never had this problem...

Great Article on Prop firms- Bright, Echo, Maverick Trading, SMB, etc.

Just saying that failure rate is similar to failure rate of those training programs sold on the internet. Like Quik POP/Woodies CCI. So training is not worth much.

The Perfect Trader and the Prop Firm

You are pretty much right on. The business model should be profit driven with commissions to cover overhead. The emphasis should be on profits and not on commissions. You need profitable traders to grow your firm. That said, money isn't the most important aspect of a firm. You...
