I think you could just get by trading stocks even if you arent a very good chart reader.... just swing with the blows of the earnings...the news...and be on the right side of the upgrades/downgrades....etc....if you are really could at that, you could get by with just knowing chart basics and a...

I too am short several stocks...YELL, FITB, and LEG The mkts are stalling here.....its uneasy....theres a cold chill rolling down this hill...there are bears in this level.....coming out of the woods....peaking behind the elms, probing, feeling............its uneasy.

this "happens" because big money can see where the logical area is for a stop.... and so they "probe' it.....to which in effect many get shaken out..... and the specialist turns to his assistant and says.." thats how its done boy". IF YOU ARE SWING TRADING...... you must ignore these...

Its not that im getting smoked...its just i cant get no traction....

CNBC will hoot and holler when the mkts are at or near new year highs... and i mean they wont shut up about it.... all like little kids on the night before Christmas.... even though the mkts may be at that level with no technical strength behind it. And in some cases the mkts open on a huge gap...
