Lately futures have not been as accurate at forecasting the open. I have noticed on dow futures today and yesterday they are ofter very high pre market like they are being bought by some goverment agency. But it isn't working very well because they spend the rest of the day trending downward...

I never used it but worth a try to see if it helps I guess. If it was so great I think everybody would be saying get lvl 2 or don't trade.

2/2 again today. Good for +440 usd. Made short YM and long ZG. Left some money on the table but longer in a position higher the chance for large gain but also a big loss.

Private mints can make a killing minting silver and gold coins with the premiums nowdays. It is simply impossible for COMEX to stay stocked with the massive premiums on gold coins. The people minting these coins will call for delivery every last bar that COMEX has as long as those premiums...

Don't you know? Bond investors enjoy losing money. They swarm all over those low yields. They especially like it when yields go negative, so they lose even more money.

I made 2/2 profitable trades today. Good thing after yesterday's -3k of experience. +200 made selling the YM and buying the ZI.

The GSG & DBA are trading very close to all time lows. I think the bottom is closing in. Maybe with the rate cut we'll finally get a floor in on commodities. The yellow 1 is the GSG.

I bet the euro traders are all over this. Easy money going short now at 890 euros, if you can ride out the storm? I think so.

Can anybody explain why the yen is so strong if the nikkei is falling 6%+ a day and Japanese banks need billions in bailouts? Shouldn't the yen be tanking just like the euro is against the dollar?

Agreed shorting on open has been a strategy that has worked over the past many many days with few exceptions. I like you username says it all.

Japan has got some serious problems with their stock market. Anybody know what's going on there? Is it just a panic because of bad trade numbers and the global slowdown? Seriously what happens if they go down another 9% tomorrow? Will there be another lost decade? The japanese are such tightwads...

1-2 years? The rollover costs should be peanuts if you are using a cheap broker. One thing to consider: is what you are buying or selling in contango or backwardation? By using contango or backwardation to your advantage, you can make more money and more than makup for the farout expiration...
