    DELL 30" Ultra Sharp

Yes I cannot trade, but I am skillful at so many other things that not being able to trade does not make me feel inferior and consequently, I do not have a need to put other people down. It makes a huge difference since I have to use my computer for my day work and my eyes are irreplaceable...

    DELL 30" Ultra Sharp

Yes but you cannot get them up to the same resolution as the 30" one. Less resolution = higher strain on the eyes at least in my case.

    DELL 30" Ultra Sharp

It seems that the most economical way would be to get 2 x 19" . However, the easiest on the eyes would be the 30" model. Just out of curiosity, anybody out there using apple's 30" monitor, or perhaps something even bigger?

    DELL 30" Ultra Sharp

After abusing my good old trusty Sony 17" CRT monitor for many years, it stopped working. So I am in the market for another monitor. Since I wear glasses and consider my eyes so much more important than saving couple of bucks on a cheap monitor, I decided to get something high quality...

I walked into CompUSA and saw a 20" monitor on an Acer Notebook

Both Dell 20" and Acer 20" are nice but are they really laptops????? The weight on those things must be around 20 pounds and that is heavy. Maybe those two machines were designed for H2 owners???:D :D :D :D Bigger is not always better.

Ninja Trader - opinions, experiences, alternatives

Probably, but the difference in speed would not be that significant. From my limited experience, NT simply feels like a better software, smoother and more user friendly. The only aspect of it that I dislike is ... the fee. :( :(

Ninja Trader - opinions, experiences, alternatives

Your point is duly noted. IB provides a very decent and affordable service in many aspects of trading. If in the future I decide to use their services I would undoubtedly use their trading platform to scalp. However, if money was no issue I would sway toward NT.

Ninja Trader - opinions, experiences, alternatives

I am sure DOM from IB is not that different from DOM provided by NT. The mechanics are similar so consequently the product must also be similar. However, in order to try IB I have to open an account with them and deposit $2000 to use their software. It seems like a lot of hassle just to be able...

Ninja Trader - opinions, experiences, alternatives

I downloaded a demo version a while ago, and I was not impressed by it then. 10 min. ago I looked at the flash demo presentation and I was still not impressed. DOM feels and looks like a bad video game from 1980s. The sounds are horrible and remind me of my Atari 2600. Come on, a cash register...

I looked at IB and found their software uninspiring.

Ninja Trader - opinions, experiences, alternatives

I do not like anybody snooping in my private dealings and I am prone to believe conspiracy theories in general. However, in this situation, I have nothing to worry about as I have yet to turn a profit i this endeavor, so NT can watch my trades all day long, hey maybe they could analyze them and...

Ninja Trader - opinions, experiences, alternatives

I looked at ZLT and it did not feel right. For whatever reason NT felt more user friendly I was able to "get" it much quicker. :D

Ninja Trader - opinions, experiences, alternatives

So far I run the sim mode and my 3 year old P4 with 1 gig of RAM had absolutely no problem. However, it is good to know that NT is a resource hog just in case I get antsy and try running other stuff while watching the market, and crush the whole system. I am happy to hear that it is fast...

Ninja Trader - opinions, experiences, alternatives

After spending countless hours trying to decode and learn E signal I have decided to move to the next part of my education and got my hands dirty playing with Ninja Trader. I am looking for a fast, reliable and relatively uncomplicated program to scalp ES. What are your opinions...

es profit on 1/4 point can it be done?

Looks like a cash register at a local Mc Donald. I guess if trading does not pan out, one could easily re-train to start a new career at a local fast food joint. :p

es profit on 1/4 point can it be done?

even 3.75 per contract is not bad if: 1. you could it all day long with very high win ratio (super hard to do) 2. you trade 100 or 200 lots per trade It is not the amount of money that one makes on this type of set up that is in question.

es profit on 1/4 point can it be done?

Do you really need something super high tech to trade the markets????? I doubt it. A regular pentium 4 with 1 gig of ram a graphic card that can handle up to 4 monitors and 2 hard drives would be more than enough.
