I don't believe in the jobs bill... too many old ideas, and the new ones aren't really new either. Worst of all is that all this stuff has been tried in the past to no avail. Good luck... :(

It's true Americans don't get many days off, but if more days off were available, most still wouldn't take them... it's a mentality issue, I believe. My friend in Chicago gets up to 15 days off each year but only takes a week, two maximum, not all 3. Case in point.

As low as the rates are, it still isn't gonna help this moribund economy.

Obama's plan won't help for 1 main reason: people have lost faith in him and Congress will not be willing to hop on board at this point in his presidency... another reason why this plan is destined to fail.

The whole Australian economy is one big buble to me... just too dependent on China, in my opinion.

UK during summer is 5 hours ahead of NY, 6 hours ahead of Chicago. When it's daylight savings time, for a few weeks there might be a +/- 1 hour change depending on if the US changes clocks several weeks before Europe, as it has been doing for the last few years.

Usually when you open a broker trading account, there's much fine print which in the end means you are still probably liable even for their mistakes. Why do you think there's so much reading involved... just read the application you completed, you will be surprized.

Definitely don't sell Apple... I don't think Jobs' success is overstated, but even without him there is no reason this company should fail to thrive... they have some of the best integrated electronics products in the world, almost Japanese level technoligy...

Education or not, the reason most of the traders lose money is because they lack discipline, trade w/o stops, or just don't follow or even have a strategy. It all comes down to that.
