So you were up about 100 points, gave most of it back, but still made money. Where's that long trade for today's close? And what's your threshold for pain, where is your Stop?

Something I do that I find helpful, I put the 15m and 5m EMA on the 1m chart. That way I know when I am approaching those MAs without having to keep track of MAs on three different charts. I only have one display panel, but I would still do that with a multi-panel setup.

Speaking of blood sugar: If you start feeling groggy, like you can't keep your eyes open, that could indicate a blood sugar spike. Once that happens, consuming more caffeine usually won't perk you up enough to overcome the sluggishness.

I switched from Rithmic to SC's Denali/TT last May. Commissions the same as CQG, but much less than Rithmic. However, SC doesn't deduct commissions from $20/month fee like Rithmic does. Didn't have any issues until last week. Twice the data feed froze for 45 seconds at market open. Finally had...

For sure... if you get this rattled over something this minor, ES will put you in an early grave.

In the past, I think he said he's in a trade for a short period of time; I think 10 minutes or thereabouts. So odds of a limit move happening while he's in a trade are pretty slim. And if the market is that volatile, he probably wouldn't be trading anyway.

I am under the impression that most traders roll Thursday evening/Friday morning, one week before expiration.

If he originally saw the possibility of a 6 point gain, was stopped out with a 3 point loss, and waited to reenter at his original price, 3 points of the gain would be lost to cover the original stop loss. And the R:R would drop from 1:2 down to 1:1. Averaging down allows him to recover the old...

With DOW futures, even if he is using a basic Stop, pretty sure the exchange will *automatically* add a Stop-Limit 60 points out beyond his basic Stop.
