How to stop losing and start earning

There was an interesting article, I believe last Sunday NYT, which mentioned how there is a thriving Indian daytrading culture. By trading the markets, many of them can earn more than what they can in a day of hard labor. Isn't technology wonderful?

ER2 End of quater /rebalancing move

Ahh right, the rebalancing. I was wondering what the heck was going on. Merrill was selling the SP hard at the end but the RUT was moving higher.

    Paulson is cracking under questioning..

Listen to his words rather than his mannerisms. He has a mild mannered grandfatherly way but he didn't get to be CEO of GS by accident.

Lunch we me @ IN & OUT!

Close to NYC, in Jersey City. FatBurger. Juicy burgers, hot fluffy fries and shakes with mmmmm, ice cream. I should have tried InNOut when I was in Vegas and LA last year.

    Futures active around 7pm

Hang Seng and Nikkei but you'll have to deal with trading in a different currency. IB is the best broker.

    If you use fibs, reply

You need to establish a high and low point for fibs. A lot of traders will set the fib levels from a low point to a high point and then determine at what fib level they think the retracement will stop.

Don't upgrade to TWS 860 yet.

Probably best to always be one version behind. I use ButtonTrader which has matching updates. Some complaints have already surfaced with IB's new upgrade.

    Cable and DSL redundancy

BitTorrent type transfers will benefit greatly from a dual wan setup. Multiple apps hitting the web like charting packages, background downloads will also benefit. Somewhat like the argument concerning dual core processors, apps that were not MP aware like games didn't benefit but the...

    Cable and DSL redundancy

Yep, some people had problems with the DLink. I'm reading up more about dual wans. Definitely something a daytrader should not be without. There are a number of competing products in this category. Just a matter of finding the best one. Good article Dual WAN SOHO/Home Routers

    Cable and DSL redundancy

I'm looking at the D-Link DI-LB604. It's a load balancing router that can take a DSL and a Cable modem connection for double the bandwidth as well as automatic failover redundancy. Anyone used something like this? Or have a better solution? I really like the ability to pool the bandwidth.

    Simple RSI strategy?

Trend vs nontrend. When it's a trending day, it can stays at/below 30 for awhile. If you can distinguish between the two, then it's not a bad play. Many traders watch it so there is always a momentary lift when it gets to a very low RSI. It's not the holy grail but it can be reliable. And...

Which trading goal is best and why?

I have a slightly different approach. I think in term of ticks. Set the barrier of success low enough so that it can be achieved on a daily basis. Even on those days, when you feel like shit, you should be able to hit that goal. For the ER, I set my goal to 10 ticks. Everyone should have...

    Futures Day Trading

I've tried a number of realtime advisory services. I've been disappointed in every single one. I suggest you take their trial period and verify that their calls are for real. If they don't have a trial period or even worse, they ask you to pay for one, pass on it. Right now, I use Traders...

    i 'm having a good day...what the hell...

I actually tried to short the market when it was on a momentary upswing. Keep telling me myself, hold for only a few minutes. Held too long... But I caught the strong rush at the end. Still as a trader, the quest is for perfection.
