    GBA's "2021 Stock Phantasma"

Short float was low at the start of the day. You mean descending triangle at around 1:10pm EST? It doesn't really look like it's descending much. Too flat for me. But one could have played the short breakout of the 88-97 channel. Stop would be 88 lower channel. That would have been...

    GBA's "2021 Stock Phantasma"

Lots of traders are touting they made a killing from ANVS on YouTube. Warrior's Ross being the biggest name. Cool to see traders actually trading. The one thing I didn't see, was detailed analysis. There were some really strong setups for traders who may have gotten in late. Stock...

IBKR Lite payment for order flow

Thanks Turtle. I thought only Fidelity had price improvement besides IBKR? Going to zero commissions, it would seem everyone has to sell order flow. I understand Fidelity has their own market makers which is why they don't have to sell order flow. But yeah, I'm not doing such high volume...

IBKR Lite payment for order flow

Has anyone compared how good IBKR Lite PFOF is compared to the industry average? IBKR Pro brags that it offers 47c per 100 share price improvement. Is IBKR Lite close to that or at least better than industry standard?

Short seller report on NKLA today, be careful.

It was a brilliant scam until now. If only Elizabeth Holmes had the wherewithal and imagination like Milton, she could have use her billions in stock options to buy a legit company and then fake that company's product as her new innovation. Would have gotten rich and gotten away with it...

    SMB and Sang Lucci

Sykes was just plain offensive and the moronic factor just dripped out of him every time he talked. Much like Trump. Lucci was entertaining in the beginning since you didn't know if he was for real. He was loud mouthed and vulgar but seemed to show something when trading options (operative...

    SMB and Sang Lucci

Was listening to Chat with Traders podcast with Sang Lucci. Apparently his hedge fund blew up and now he's in Puerto Rico, trying to start up another one. Was saying it was better for traders down there cuz of the tax implications. He's now "toned" down his cowboy trading methods. The dude...

STOCKS GET CRUSHED: Here's what you need to know

People have no sense of proportion. Market keep going higher. Markets then drops 300-400 points. Oh god, the market got "crushed". Please. It was a 1.6% downward movement. Shanghai dropped 6.8%, that's more like being "crushed". From this point forward, people should think in term of...

What algorithmic trading firms use Scala?

No more than say a really good Java developer. You seem to think Scala is something particularly special. If you ask pure functional programming guys, they will say Scala is not at the level of Haskell or Lisp. Personally I would rather go with the most popular language like Java since...

What algorithmic trading firms use Scala?

Definitely you can write a trading application with it just like you can with Java. But the inherent issues with a Java trading applications will also be a problem with Scala since they both use the same JVM ie garbage collection and JIT warmups.

What algorithmic trading firms use Scala?

Not sure what was used to create Scala. It's a functional language whereas Java is OO before Java 8. Both Java and Scala compile to the same bytecode used by JVM. So it's possible to use libraries interchangeably. Scala is a different language all together. It's more like Haskell and Lisp...

What algorithmic trading firms use Scala?

Java 8 has included lambda expressions, partly due to Scala success. It might be a good idea to take a look at that. Parallelism is also incorporated.

    R.I.P. - Don Bright

RIP Don. Unlike many of us, who don't have a face, Don was our face. He and his brother, Bob, an avid poker, represented the 2 things I'm most passionate about.

What If Lebron Did Something Else?

Bron Bron as those in the know, know him would make a decent politician. I do believe after his basketball career is over, he will be running for some type of office. Mark my words.

    Optic Trading

Anyone have anything to say about Optic Trading? Run by a guy named Adam Ryan. I was listening to a podcast with him as guest host. Very humble trader. He seemed like the real deal. http://chatwithtraders.com/ep-012-adam-ryan/

    Rentech Medallion fund

Pretty simple way to debunk Simon. Find out what he paid in taxes. Even if he tried to shelter all that money, the enormity would prove he was legit. The telltale sign is if he doesn't show the big numbers. While we may not have access to his finances, I would think the SEC or the gov...

    Rentech Medallion fund

Jim Simon and his super fund? It's the closest thing to a black box golden goose. It's tough to try and hide a ponzi scheme ala Madoff if the the guy makes billions each year. That fact that he shut off his fund to outside investors says a lot. I do remember some articles trying to crack...
