    Market refuses to go down

As usual, market ignores all the perilous warning signs. The market no longer reflects reality.

TOP is IN-- SHORT YM HERE

Luck or not, a tremendous call !! What a dive since 3:30 PM. I am expecting a rather large overall decline in market too, but I use the NYSE Bullish % Index to gauge my thinking - it has been in Bear Alert Mode since October 5th: http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.pnf?c=$BPNYA,P

Meet the New Boss, Obama; Same as the Old Boss, Bush

Whereas I gave Bush a final grade of "F" for his 8 years in office, Obama has a "C-", and is sinking rapidly. His rethoric all had us believing that things could get better, but he is nothing more than a slick salesman, with little substance. Bush, IMO, was totally inept, and criminal in some...

what is the best TV news channel

As far as market news is concerned, Bloomberg blows away CNBC. CNBC is so damn pro-market, that it makes me nautious listening to them. Bloomberg's guests are a lot more tempered than CNBC's "happy market person of the day" approach, and they provide a much more even-keel approach to market news.

what is the best TV news channel

Fox is not news reporting; it is a biased form of entertainment only. It is complete drivel; biased to the hilt. IMO, CNN does the best job of providing balanced reporting, although they do lean slightly left. MSNBC is close to FOX, in their biased reporting. I am so sad to hear that people...

Ratigan nails how "dark pools" rip off traders: Dark pool trading = 10% of volume

This *hit has been going on forever. It became mainstream during the Bush years, and it seems that the current administration turns deaf ears to what it wants to. As an aside, how the hell does GS get make 6 BB in year-over-year after tax profits, and get away with paying a 1 % marginal tax...

QuoteTracker : what are the symbols for E Mini ?

Open up an IB account. You can get Market Feed Futures data for $ 10/month, which will get waived if you accrue $ 30 or more commission for the month. QT supports the IB data feed quite well. To me, this is your best option. You may want to decide to trade with IB as well - commissions are...

Tax refugees staging escape from New York

New York State taxes will surge even higher, as the pension plans of New York state Union workers becomes more unfunded by the day. Many of these negotiated pension plans were put in place during the pseudo bull-years, and the average New Yorker schmuck will be incurring higher taxes to help...

Sorry doom and gloomers. The real estate market is hot in California.

According to a 60-minute expose several months back, a new wider and broader range of foreclosures will be upon us in Q1, 2010, when a lot of ARM rate changes come due. This could become another real estate/financial tidal wave.

    Selloff smells different this time

NYSE Bullish % Index (the leading belweather market indicator, IMO), just went Bearish officially on Friday, after the close. It had been at a 12-year high of 84 of late, and dipped below 78 after close yesterday. This is the best indicator for telling us that we are now in a Bearish mode...

Thoughts on today? Thoughts on next week? October Crashing Coming?

I don't know if that's quite the sentiment these days, but if it is, that is even further justification for downward action. All you need is to do the opposite of guys like Kudlow, Cramer, etc., and you'll be ahead of the curve.

Thoughts on today? Thoughts on next week? October Crashing Coming?

Not sure is "crash" is the right word, but correction is certainly in the cards from these levels. Bottom line - unemployment continues to rise, and don't believe the 9.8 % # - it could easily be double, if you count in everyone (those who are off the coffers, those who have lost interest...

    15% unemployment 2010?

I'm not talking about a progressive income tax....I'm actually a proponent of the flat tax. I'm certainly not advocating that the rich pay higher taxes, just a proportionate share. Too many "rich folk" seem to have the same luxury as Goldman Sachs, and that needs to stop.

Cramers has once again destroyed peoples lives

No doubt, he is a baffoon. He contradicts & changes his story continuously. He is nothing more than an entertainer.
