    Organized Systems Sharing

Eyecheck & Opmtrader, I too think what you propose is valuable. Maye we should start another thread and run both of these ideas in concert? -rlb P.S. For all other potential participants please note this "project," so to speak, does not require submitting your best and most complete...

    Organized Systems Sharing

Eyecheck, Thankyou for the input. You bring up some interesting points. One, that the ideas may go in very different directions. I am not too concerned about this, I would like to keep things very open. As moderator I will be doing my best to bring things together at the end of the first...

    finding an edge...simple?

I have begun a thread called Organized Systems Sharing (Your name is better) under the Trading Strategy forum. We should probably move the discussion there so as not to bog down this thread any further. Here is what is offered by my revised plan: An opportunity to develop trading ideas...

    Organized Systems Sharing

Walther, Great! I didn't set a date b/c I wasn't sure how long it would take for a response. Two questions: (1) Can you have something ready by Sunday? (2) Do you think we should wait for a few more participants? ie: 3 more for a total of 5? I am going to start a database which will...

Firstly, sorry to all those whose threads I mucked up airing out my early ideas. Within - Forums ›› Main ›› Trading ›› finding an edge...simple? - I posted the following thoughts (this is a simplified version): <#'s provided for reference to the default thread pages> <4> What...

    finding an edge...simple?

Hii a_ooiioo_a, I was walking the dog and had some more thoughts on what we can accomplish. Firstly, I think what we should be looking to do is create a team of enthusiastic participants. The degree of time speant in developing these shared systems and the time speant during peer review...

    finding an edge...simple?

I like very much. Here are some hypothetical parameters for membership: (1) One trading system with buy/sell conditions, backtesting data etc. (This could be simple, like 20EMA crosses 30EMA b/c I would not expect someone to just hand over their meal ticket at the outset) (2) Within a week...

    finding an edge...simple?

Your concerns are valid. I would say difficult though, not impossible. I'll need some time to back this up though, thankyou.:)

    Principia de Technical Analysis

Mr. Hershey, I want to thank you now, as I will be spending the next week working out the miriad of information and ideas you have provided me. I feel a bit foolish for not having known "SOP," but I suppose this is the price I pay for being young. Luckily my father, an engineer, has begun...

Who do you want to win the war?

Sounds like you have a point but I don't follow what you have written. If you'd like to discuss I suggest starting a new thread since math is pretty far off topic from who do you want to win the war? This is a dangerous group anyway, best to start a new thread...definitely definitely got to...

Who do you want to win the war?

Our basic point of disagreement then, is math's existence as an objective reality in and of itself. I would consider math an invention, you would rather view it as a discovery. Both could be argued without necessarily coming to a conclusion, so I propose we agree to disagree.

Who do you want to win the war?

Alright then, Saddam is muslim (muslum? - I have not seen this spelling before but you may be right) only by name and not by practice, which is generally unappreciated in the muslim world. Even more disliked is his secular regime, since the Islamic faith does not, as the Christian faith does...

Who do you want to win the war?

Yes, anyone trying to promote the understanding of the muslim culture is pro-muslim. Along these lines, anyone trying to understand any position other than the US is anti-american. We should hold court here at ET and I should be sentenced to be hanged. P.s. Saddam is not a muslim. He is...

Who do you want to win the war?

Max, I am now utterly confused. Figment or not, my time for fun has run out. Shall we continue tomorrow? Or maybe you'd rather spend the night - naw.. if your not a figment of my imagination then you must be the kind who just likes the chase, can't produce. goodnight sweetie
