    Vtrader

I've had a conversation and exchanged some e-mails with someone from VTrader. He's been helpful and provided me with all of the documentation I would need to sign so I could review it far in advance. I think they're still relatively new but on the positive side, I had one of my attorneys pull...

    Supporting yourself while trading pre-profit?

One way around this is to get a personal laptop with Verizon broadband wireless internet.

I don't buy it -- I postulate this is a false move in a long term trend

Since when has the economy and the stock market had 100% direct correlation? If you're using the economy as a reason to buy or sell stocks, you'll miss all the big moves.

I don't buy it -- I postulate this is a false move in a long term trend

I'd rather make money than be right. So right now my signals say to stay long and that's what I'll do even though there is the risk of getting whipsawed here. Heck, there's a chance I get run over by a car tomorrow. There's also a chance my wife will want to have sex tonight. Well, I think...

    Objective Elliott Wave............

Tony: I think you've been fairly accurate overall on your wave counts. You definitely opened my eyes to a lot of things and I am using EWT a little more in my analysis. Occassionally, I may differ in the application or interpretation of various market signals than you, but I appreciate your...

    resumption of the bull market?

I agree that the S&P looks a little more troubling than the NDX. And while there are some ultra-short-term oversold readings, I don't think the NDX is as oversold as the wave 2 low you referenced so I think it still pays to be cautious on the long side after a day like Friday. The key will be...

Giving Up on Prop - What Next?

seasonedpro -- I am genuinely trying to be helpful. Maybe I'm being a little harsh and critical here but you obviously have some trading skills and maybe your solution involves looking inward rather than outward. Best wishes to you in whatever you do.

Giving Up on Prop - What Next?

Still, in my humble opinion, this shows that you're not being honest with yourself as a trader. As such, this will affect you wherever your next trading job is. Maybe you should check out a trading coach (e.g., www.tradingontarget.com)

Giving Up on Prop - What Next?

I couldn't agree more with Cheese's comment. You're blaming your inability to make money on the market and not yourself.

Prop Firm that caters to remote traders

From what I hear, both Echo and Bright offer remote trading. Trading with $5,000, though, is too small amount, especially when you consider platform costs. Granted, those platform costs are rebated with volume but with only $5,000 you're not approaching trading seriously.

    Are all trading courses scams?

I can honestly say I got some ideas from Oliver Velez as well. Again, I'm not saying I learned to trade the "Pristine" way or anything like that -- but I was able to use some concepts in developing my own strategy. Keep in mind I didn't fork over major $$ either. I think I paid $50 or so once...

Jim Rogers on Bloomberg 11am ET

As Jack Schwagger once put it, a short-term trade for Rogers is two years! Accordingly, you should expect his timing on anything will be far from perfect.

Difference bet Prop firm, trading for bank/financial inst.

I'm currently researching prop firms and it seems as long as you're putting up decent money $20-25K (not the 5K people often mention for prop firms), you should expect 100% payout, good commission rates and then a charge of somewhere around $200/month for software/system, etc. However, if you...

    End of week systems

This dude used to do a free weekly report on www.safehaven.com. I believe his system is based on end-of-week as well. I'm not plugging his service (I've been around on ET enough for you to know this isn't spam) but just thought I would mention it just in case. http://www.marketlistener.com
