I traded SPXU and not the futures. But I understand your point, you have to have appropriate risk parameters in place and make sure your position size reflects that.

No one is bragging. Just saying it's possible to not care about the news and just trade your charts.

Not if you have a bigger picture outlook. And then not looking at the screen after you put in your trade and walking away from the screen. Not all of us can have that laser focus on the short term and pivot on a dime with our trades like you! ;)

Honestly, the seq indicator was a "nice to have" but I had weak momentum all over the place.

Basically that the clues as to the market's direction were there. That taking a position before the release wasn't foolish if you just read the market momentum.

I tend to disagree, but that's OK. I think the market gives the clues -- you just can't let your biases and views get in the way. That's where I screwed up back in September.

We definitely have some bullish seasonality here - not just referring to year end but this specific time period. Further, we had the “Go Bears” contrarian indicator signal a couple of days ago.

Fx is a an acquired taste -- but if you can get an edge, it can be a lucrative market to trade.
