So does closing of SP electronic trade make the fills slower than with the ES? I am thinking for someone who trades 5 or 10 e-minis should not have liquidity issues with 1 or 2 SP contracts but with very sizable savings in commissions. Am I missing anything?

would you be better off trading 1 SP contract as opposed to 5 e-minis from a commission standpoint? Are there any disadvantages to trading SP? (understanding that it does not trade after-hours like the ES contract does). For example do you get instantaneous fills with the SP contract...

That makes sense. Thanks. Would still appreciate any color as to whether there are firms/traders out there with the full market depth (beyond the typical 10 that we see) as well as the position of the stops.

Does the CME provide big trading firms with a title of market maker? Trying to understand who gets to see the full depth of orders. Who fills my stop loss order when it is touches the level for 1 second and bounces back? Any insights are greatly appreciated.

Are you saying that if I buy at 900, mkt goes to 910 and I have a 2 pt trailing stop that if the market goes to 909 and then 910 and then 909 again that you will get stopped?

Was your Treo on T-Mobile as well? I've been using MetaTrader on AT&T's 3G network with no problems. T-Mobile still has not rolled out its 3-G network and could be why it is slower.
