How to become a stock broker

to give others trading advice then perhaps you should become a certified investment advisor. I personally would not take any advice from any broker, but perhaps that's just me...

    Jasper pre-beta available

I have not seen that baby yet, but I do love your ideas for future development. My systems are ready for others to use:p Thanks a lot... now if only I could somehow use IB TWS Demo to see how this thing works...

    IB TWS Demo Problems

Am I the only one to have problems loading TWS Demo? This happens more often than not and drives me mad. I have been getting 'Exception:java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:jclient.LoginFrame' for two days. What does that mean? I did not have this problem a few days ago, but very often the...

    Sell and Exchange Forum?

Cool idea, the only problem sometimes is the lack of time. I am a member of two libraries and good ones on top of that, recently almost do not buy books because I can check them out from these libraries (in Beverly Hills and Hollywood) and already have too many of my own, but I am recently so...

Should a novice play the ES or NQ?

The demo uses delayed quotes. Makes sense only if your charts are also delayed, perhaps with Sierra Chart that would be possible, don't know for sure. Otherwise, this would not make much sense.

    The Importance of Simplicity

I have to quote it again, because these are exactly my thoughts. In other words, I would like to anticipate the breakout and I believe in some cases it can be done, the last 3 days for instance, and as far as non-standard bars are concerned, I use 13 min ones or 7 min ones (13 min ones are more...

    Sell and Exchange Forum?

that this idea came from a woman and the first person to endorse it was another woman. :p Yes, I wanted to do this before Katrin, but did not want to deprive her of some pleasure of being the first one to support it. :) OK, so let me be the second one. I too have a lot of junk to sell. :D

So in other words, Angell is no angel, just like, I guess, most of those system peddlers...

    Jasper pre-beta available

looking forward to it. Can't stand placing orders using TWS, too many painful memories..., same with Bracket Trader. We need something better than that. We deserve that. Thanks, wally_

Improving your trading strategy using probability

First of all, fractals and randomness and chaos theory are completely different things. The chaos theory does not even deal with randomness, it is about deterministic systems that are simply unpredictable because of some underlying nonlinearity, that's not the same as random. Throwing dice can...

Nice stuff, George Angell's favorite stuff, based on the work of some Taylor guy, the best source: 'Sniper Trading' by George Angell. I have a similar spreadsheet.

    Pivot Points

Sure, these numbers are not written in stone, markets fluctuate, but if these levels are approached more likely than not you can expect a common reaction: resistance or support and when these levels are broken that usually means the trend will continue or that at least is strong. They are even...

    Pivot Points

I am talking about the very first half an hour. The first 30 min bar has its low at 911.25, right? At least on my charts and I was also following it in real time. Then we got a bounce back up to 918.75 and then we went down again to 909.25 only to move up to 920+ some time later.

I agree, especially about the clustering of LOD and S1. It can only help the support. The same is true about today's R1 @918.5. Check out the structure of S/R two days ago and you will see that this level (ca 918.75) was very important then and was broken, first up, then down. No wonder it...

    The Importance of Simplicity

Very good points, Mike... about the ATR and the SAR. Thought about the same things, especially the SAR on pullbacks and even more along these lines. I will return to this later. Need to give it some more thought. I think I am very close to having a power system along the lines discussed here...
