    Advice on car

GM has the tightest tolerances in the industry, especially internal engine. BTW Check out my latest long term durability comparison between Cadillac and Toyota. Cadillac wins easily in this unbiased test with odds grossly tilted towards Toyota and Cadillac still won...

Jim Rogers on Bloomberg 11am ET

I wonder what made him turn so hostile against the US, he seemed like a pretty nice guy previously. There's one time I remember him being wrong in 2003 when he went short DIA in late summer of 2003 and emailed me suggesting I sell QQQQ, I lost track of his calls after that but he did have some...

Ice shelf collapse was biggest for 10,000 years

I hate to defend Bush, but he has been at least talking about making changes. I liked what he said about solar energy, that we should strive for having solar panels on each residential home which will also be used to charge your plug in electric vehicle battery. I know it's only talk but it's...

GM - what are the chances of bankruptcy?

I made it easy for you guys. I ran a focused search of only one division of GM, Caddilac. From year 2000 to 2006 and a price tag of $2000 to $10,000 to filter out misprints because obviously anything with this kind of miles will be priced a bit below market. Also did the same for the entire...

GM - what are the chances of bankruptcy?

Bullshit! I hear this same thing from people who know squat about automobiles. If you want to do an unbiased review, go to autotrader.com and see which cars have the most miles on them, I guarantee it won't be toyota. I have seen 2000 Cadillacs with 370,000 miles and still looking and...

    Losing money on day trading

Those programs are really expensive and could add up to thousands of dollars for an active trader. Going to an accountant will be even more. If you want to save some money you can try your hand at downloading to msmoney but it never worked out for me doing that. I just copy and paste the...

    Republicans are smart

They might be smarter but not enough evidence to suggest that. On the other hand, republicans are definitely better looking. Have you seen democratic ladies? Yuck, check this picture out!!!:)

    $5.9 billion a month habit

Looking at a CRT vs. LCD for long period of time.

No flicker on an LCD due to the back light so they are more relaxing to the eyes. Also no EMF's beaming ya. Although on one of my old computers I have a quality Viewsonic CRT that is decent, I still like my LCD's better. Turning down the brightness a bit also helps.

    Ameritrade question on "Trade Triggers"

Thanks, that answers my question. I guess Izone is either screwed up showing me a trade trigger demo and info on it, or they plan on implimenting it in the future.

    Ameritrade question on "Trade Triggers"

Ameritrade Izone is the same as Ameritrade broker but another division. They show it as if they offer trade triggers and I even went through the demo. Maybe it's only offered in regular Ameritrade.

    Ameritrade question on "Trade Triggers"

My Trade tab has the following: Stocks, Options Mutual Funds, Order Status, Saved Orders. That's all, no trade triggers. I went to preferences and it doesn't have anything on trade triggers it has the following: Express Trading enabled (change), Margin Tradin enabled (change), Option...

    Ameritrade question on "Trade Triggers"

I saw the demo and it did not answer my questions on it. Here's the questions I have on it. First of all, where the heck is the Trade Trigger section to even use it? It's not in the rapid order entry page and not on the stock trading page. They say you can put up to 40 trade triggers...

    Iran vs. USA: First round

The problem is they have no fear of the US. What's the most that can happen? The US sends a bunch of troops in their to rebuild their country and give food and aid while they pick off a few US troops per day. They know Bush is compassionate and they do not fear him. We need another Reagan to...

Iranian Graduate of UNC Drives SUV into crowd of students "to avenge Muslims"

That sounds more like a terrorist act and should be dealt with swiftly with federal capital punishment. They have the laws in place where they can put him away for being a terrorist and can be executed without litigation or publicity.

Have Our Troops Taken Needless Casualties To Appease Mulsims?

AAA, I'm as disgusted with the war decisions as you are. I have seen stories where the troops were getting bombs lobbed at them but they were not given permission to send the same firepower back to the exact location the bombs were coming from in fear of killing innocent people/terrorist. As...

We were very very lucky the terriosts didnt destroy Saudi Oil transfer point!

Long term I think oil is doomed, regardless if they lower prices, good riddance. Just look at all the visits Bush made on President's Day. Once he sets his focus on something he's very stubborn about it, just look at Saddam. I'll never buy a gasoline car again myself. E85 for me, preferably...

We were very very lucky the terriosts didnt destroy Saudi Oil transfer point!

The Saudi's got some monetary benefit from the story with higher oil prices. Of course they would never stage the story just for money. LOL One thing I like about these high prices is we even have Bush talking about making oil absolete with ethanol and battery technology. I also like it when...
