Took stops on three long entries starting in the 2740 area, sigh. Tentative lesson: Support on the daily chart requires wider stops.

Long at 2749 on breakout of that R. took quick +2.25 at HOD, may re-enter on the next breakthrough.

For what it's worth (I usually don't speculate on market direction, being a shorter time-frame kind of guy): Looks like a triangle breakout on the daily chart -- bullish Looks like 2740 area is Support on the daily also (the highs of 5/14 and 5/22)

+3.5 on 1/3 at 4000 car spike. Trailing stop on the rest. Closed remainder at +.25. Net +1.5

long 2745.25, triangle breakout on the daily chart.

long 2729.75 on next breakout of HOD, exited +2.25 quickly on 4500 car vol spike. Edit: just realized that was where we hit the downtrend line on the daily.

Out +4 net.

long 2723 @ 6:34, +4 on 2/3 . Trailing the stop on the remainder.

Last 1/3 +8. +6.3 average. Very ugly day, price-action wise. This got me green for the day after several small losses and one small gain. My morning:

Long 2712.5 at W / inverted h&s formation. +4 on 1/3, +7 on 1/3.

Short 2713, 1.75pt stop. 2k up volume surge came in at 2711 & took me out. Waiting to see if we get a bottoming formation.

Short 2695.50, 1/3 -1.25, 2/3 +4. Net ~2.5. Was looking for a drop down to low of day.

Out, +4 on 1/3, +2 on remainder

long 2703.50, tight stop, see if we can crack 2706.

Tried a couple of longs net -.75, no gas.

Long 2710.50 at minor double bottom, +3.5 out at volume spike & double top.

Ah, just saw the triggering event for the plunge @6:44 west coast. Trump cancelled the Singapore meeting with Kim. Note that technically, the situation at the plunge was double top with head & shoulders.

Short at 2724.25, a solid entry at R/S, second guessed myself and exited b/e and gave up 15 pts. Short @ 2718.50, (not as good an entry as above -- on the downtrend line), very tight stop, partially stopped out, +4.25 on remainder. Was there a news event that triggered this plunge from 2730?
