... but is it doable in reality ?

Potential short setup in Brent Oil - I'd go short here with a tight SL 25 cents above the entry (43.31 is the current price), and place the profittarget 100 cents below my entry.

... but is it doable in reality ?

... it is, unfortunately, back to bull land in the FX pair € vs CAD. The pair now trades @ 1.5421 - I'd close the shortposition at a loss, and would go long now, but this time with a 20 pips SL and 100 pips profittarget (profittarget @ around 1.5521, SL @ around 1.54).

... but is it doable in reality ?

... the Bitcoin (BTCUSD) short scenario I posted on 07/03/2020 remains valid (on page 6 in this thread), I believe it's headed to 3,600 or even lower ! Currently trades @ 9,190 .

... but is it doable in reality ?

I'd now close the EUR / CAD long position at basically breakeven, the upward move did not have enough thrust. It's now actually a short candidate, I would go short now @ 1.5401 , place the SL 30 pips above entry and the profittarget 100 pips below entry.

... but is it doable in reality ?

Now I'd move the stop loss in the US$ / Yen short trade to breakeven, profittarget remains at 106.49 .

... but is it doable in reality ?

I see a strong short setup in the FX pair USD vs JPY (USDJPY), now trades at around 107.09. How would I trade it ? Would place the SL 15 pips above the entry, TP 60 pips below entry.

... but is it doable in reality ?

... and again, Natural Gas. Sticking to my strategy, I'd now go short, but the Stop loss would have to be placed @ around 1.86 . It now trades @ 1.79, the profittarget would be 1.58 .

... but is it doable in reality ?

Akhaldanos, I'm essentially ... broke ! As of now, don't have any money, very unfortunate ! But this may change in the future, I hope I'll get some input here in addition to my post. As of now, this thread is a little bit of a one-man show. @ all : € / CAD very nice, has now appreciated a full...

... but is it doable in reality ?

I now see a short setup in the FX pair GBP vs USD again, would go short with the SL 40 pips above entry, TP 160 pips below entry for a potential 4R winner. The pair now trades at around 1.2540 .

... but is it doable in reality ?

2nd long-term bullish setup this week is palladium, now looks very strong on the long side with the long term support line in place. I'd now go long with a 100 point SL below entry , 400 points TP above entry. Now trades at around 2,008 .

... but is it doable in reality ?

The long setup in the DAX / GER30 worked out, it would have been a 4R winner . DAX now at around 12,800 .

... but is it doable in reality ?

As a long term setup (potentially valid for months, depending on how the price develops), I'm now a bull for the FX pair € vs Canadian Dollar, symbol EURCAD. I'd go long with an SL 200 pips below entry, TP 600 pips above entry . The pair currently trades @ 1.5406 .
  13. janbillian

... but is it doable in reality ?

... and the SL in the GER30 would have been triggered, now I'd be long with an SL of, again 15 points SL below entry and profit target of 60 points above entry, 12,738 right now. Very annoying, those whipsaws, but that's part of this game, unfortunately.

... but is it doable in reality ?

Very unfortunate, Natgas would have resulted in a breakeven trade. I'm now a shorttermbear for the GER30, would go short with an SL of 15 points above entry, TP 90 points below entry for a potential 6R winner. Now trades @ 12,718 points.
  15. janbillian

... but is it doable in reality ?

I'd now pull the SL to breakeven in Natgas & the profittarget I'd move to 1.76 .

Jim Simons speaks on his big picture ideas

As if anyone knew or will ever know for sure outside of Rentech. Maybe he is a "vol seller", but what is this info worth if we don't know the system behind it. My understanding as a pure layman, no math and / or science background - they scan world markets, if liquid enough, for patterns that...

... but is it doable in reality ?

I'd now close the longposition in Natural Gas - at a small loss, and actually go short. This may become a 4R winner as I'd place the Sl only 1.5 points above entry, but the profittarget a full 6 points below entry. Natural Gas now trades @ 1.831, so it'd be 1.846 for the SL, 1.771 for the...

... but is it doable in reality ?

The palladium long setup I posted on page 4 is not valid anymore, I don't think it will breakout on the downside as of now. Palladium now trades around 1,970 - the original SL was above 2,000 so it'd be a smaller loss.

... but is it doable in reality ?

I've discovered Directional Movement after "playing" with indicators & setups on tradingview. EMA34 (barclose above or below for going long or short) is my preferred setup, a confirmation by Directional Movement is nice. Google for a definition, it was developed by Welles Wilder. @ all : the...

... but is it doable in reality ?

Fits my criteria of a long setup ! For the long-term (potential) trend, bar close is above EMA34 and DMI crossover (bullish momentum dominates bearish momentum), timeframe is D2 (2 days).
