I've tried a demo in the past from a different provider using zenfire and all dax trades report volume as 99 contracts for each trade. Is this still the case w/ dax (eurex)?

Very mature comments. Wise beyond 17 yrs imo. As mentioned you should consider the YM if you're gonna play futures. Also, most traders I've known have started by investing in stocks. Never stop learning about how the markets work.

Forget the grocery stores, maybe even short them. You want to buy stock in places like dollar tree, big lots, costco, maybe walmart too.

I think what it comes down to is if you have to ask if it's something you should do, you probably don't have the drive/determination it takes to get over the hump.
