I trade a few other stock accounts. Friday... -4,200 realized and +26,800 unrealized. This is more of a swing account, but still pretty short term on a good portion of the account. Didn't get the screen shot on the other account but it was only up slightly. Have a good holiday!!

I've tried reducing Level II and time n sales screens. That helps some but when the market gets super active i still lag. I used to run a lot more on my old machine. It was under windows XP not Vista and i also didn't have the larger monitor. I would like to hear from other Sterling...

Actually another trader had a similar issue and this worked for him. I am aware that Sterling has its own lagging problems. However, the lag I experience is definitely outside of the norm. The lagging problem got much much worse with the larger monitor.

After going back and forth with different tech guys at sterling, we came to the conclusion that this was likely the problem. I just picked up a new card. I got the GeForce 9800 GT. If anybody else has any experince with this, please let us know. Thanks again!!

I just don't think that 2 gigs RAM are enough to power Vista and my layout as I've had it. I have trimmed down to six charts and two time/sales and two level 2 screens. Tomorrow I will give this new layout a go to see if it helps. Thanks.

I have been having lagging problems when the market gets active. This has happened ever since i got a new computer and was thinking it may have something to do with Windows Vista. Is there anybody out there using Sterling under the Vista operating system? I would like to get some insight...

Did you delete Vista or are you running both. I was wondering if i could keep vista in say the D drive and use XP during the trading day. Thanks again.
