Spydertrader, could you explain (or give a hint) why the first 2 bars tell you to go short? The first because it has peak vol? (I don't really see a completed sequence here) thanks, innersky

In order to differentiate between actual Peak Volume from a 'Step Up' in pace (Pace Acceleration), does it have something to do with the price bar volatility compared to the previous bar? I.e. when the volatility does not increase more or less the same as the volume, then we have peak volume...

This is how I saw today... The big blue channel was drawn around 10:30 am, and when I came back in the evening, price was still contained in the blue channel. As such, one could view today as one long hold. -- innersky

only for one bar (the pennant) is change? Anyway, the correct action is hold long I presume? -- innersky

    Iterative Refinement

Question about change, see attached chart from Spydertrader. I added 4 blue vertical lines on the chart, each one of them represents decreasing black volume. The first 3 represent clearly change. But, the 4th line does not mean change. Why? Is it because the price bar is a pennant? Or...

I'd say we have peak volume, and a bar with less volatility so expect change. If I take your clue in account, I'd say expect first flaw, then FTT.

Oops my bad! Thanks for clearing this up. So in this case we have a FTT? Which bar is the actual FTT, the black one? Thanks innersky

I'm confused here. Let me try to walk through it and see if I'm correct. 10:40 bar : as this bar approaches the LTL, we do have permission to go look at the YM, so we might have reversed or entered short at this bar when receiving a signal from the YM? Is this correct? (and also when we saw...

    1. another FTT 2. a BO 3. a FBO edit: and you are right, rereading the journal(s) will give one lots of AHA moments, meaning you get to another level :) But, the best AHA moments come from the housekeeping part. After trading hours reviewing what you have done, and especially what went...

While I don't know if the dropoff should be monotonic or not, Spydertrader did not say that you cannot have an "M" or "W" day when there isn't a dropoff.

What charting software do you use for trading futures and what do you like/hate about it? I'll start myself about mine... I currently use quotetracker pro: -it's free -has nice functions for drawing channels/qaussians -does PRV con: -backfill sometimes messes up (in combination...
