What is going to happen to the price of bitcoin if the float increases

Just a few weeks ago a hedge fund manager dumped all of his BTC holdings, he bought at $200, he said it is probable that all these crypto currency companies will become worth $0 !! He said it is a solution looking for a problem, that's not how you build a product or service.

today.... much better... 2 trades... one short one long.. hit my 6 point goal and done... but had I kept trading I would have ended with 3 stop outs and made $0.... hit it a quit it!

Market loss is 3x faster than market gain

Okay, small sample to prove my point.... 2 trades today... a short that made my +3 target and a Long that also made my +3 target. The short took 15 minutes from entry to exit... the Long took 90 minutes. That's what I am talking about

Market loss is 3x faster than market gain

It's gotten way off topic of where I started. I never said I only go short. My only point is that for scalping on a daily basis shortd give faster more predictable results. Obviously I go to whatever The opportunities are

High Short Interest & Low Float stocks

yeah,, the thing on options is the deflating value as expiration approaches. some of these just have so much short shares outstanding. I guess the question is how the heck do you pick out the ones to play. This is for sure more of a swing trade type thing.

High Short Interest & Low Float stocks

Does anyone trade these types of stocks? I have read that the theory is that these stocks can make big moves to the upside as the shorts cover. In some cases there are stocks that have over 50% of the outstanding common shares shorted. That seems really high. The low float stocks to me would...

    ARGHH! bad day

Hopefully this is just an outlier day, I have been doing great. Friday was fantastic. Oh well, it's all part of the learning process. But those trades that went against me were so frustrating. I have come to a point where the $ is not the most important thing. What I am most focused on is...

    ARGHH! bad day

I am so mad at myself... hit 2 trades and up 6 points on ES by 11:24 CST.... do I stop because I hit my daily goal... of course not! end up -2 for the day. I had great entries that went against me and hit my stops, that's ok, actually good. One trade I bailed at break even and just should...

    Bracket orders made the difference

no actually it does. This was one of my biggest mistakes of the past.... a failure to take a profit and exit. This type of order gives me an automatic exit at a predetermined price. When the VIX is 12 or less I do 3 points on the exit, I always use 2 points on the stop. This is what works...

    Bracket orders made the difference

It's simple. Just explained how OCO limit orders changed it all fir me.

Market loss is 3x faster than market gain

Thank you neke. Exactly my point. The declines are much easier to trade. It's a shame that the average investors have never done any shorting. I mean literally in my circle of friends and such I don't have a single person who has ever done any shorts. And god help you when you try to explain...

Market loss is 3x faster than market gain

I understand the short squeeze but Only a fraction of the volume in the equity markets are shorts. Especially when we're talking anout retail investors. Blows my mind how many today's to make money when things go down. I had a thirty minute conversation with a friend of mine today trying...

Market loss is 3x faster than market gain

    Can this really happen

I totally agree. Much higher probability to nail three trades for two points each rather than trying to hit some kind of homerun. Overtime I've become an absolute scalper and it just works for me.

    Bracket orders made the difference

I mean the second example you gave. So there's automatically two orders after my entry. One for profit and one for stop. And yes once executed one cancels the other

Market loss is 3x faster than market gain

The article I put a link on says it's three times. Whatever it is I just know from experience that things fall apart much faster than they go up. I am positive it is driven by fear. We all understand what panic selling is I don't think there such a thing as panic buying
