    Mental Case

no problemo.... if my entry is solid, and I broke none of my rules, then I have to have confidence of the trade. Look at your statistics to confirm, hopefully you have a higher percentage of winners vs losses or BE. here's the OTHER very important change I had to make....once I hit the target...

    Mental Case

bro, I used to drive myself Bat S**t crazy just like you. What changed it for me was to have a hard stop and hard exit in the system upon entry. I discovered OCO (one cancels the other) bracket orders and it really helped my trading. The only thing I will mess with while in a trace is to...

    ES Volume criteria for entry

ok,,, so let's say I include SP... is there an approx volume number I would look for to determine if I take the trade

    ES Volume criteria for entry

no I do not, I have thought about that, but I figure that the volume on the futures runs independent of the SP volume, or at least sorta

    ES Volume criteria for entry

Does anyone use a volume rule for entry on ES? to date I have used a rule that I only enter if average volume for 2 bars is over the running average of 6 bars, I trade on a 3 minute chart. BUT, I am starting to think that I need to use absolute volume, not relative. So then I have to come...

Ethereum Vs. Bitcoin: Is ETH the better investment?

HMMM, let me see if I got this right. Last week ETH had a flash crash to $.10 and investors los their ass that had a stop limit, there are posts on ET of people getting sold out at $.10.... so why would anyone in their right mind even consider ETH! The no name exchange just prooved that...

Flash crash sends ETH price from $317 to $0.10

HMMM, I recall some poster on this website said that these no name exchanges were trouble. oh yeah,,,that was me! I am sorry that you lost your $$$, but at least yo have seen the light before it was some humongous loss. And yes I know... the Crypto fans will flame me and tell me how this...

What Are The Odds Of Scoring A Winning Trade?

From everything I read in my own personal trading if you can win on 60% of the trades You are doing good. As long as your winners are even just slightly more than losers you will make $. And I do not believe in luck.

    Losing days

Wow you're seriously going to tell me what I would have or not have done! Pretty assumptive. I'm telling you trading my method I would've taken a two point loss on that opening down trade. Peace out buddy

No the ES is not dead. You make some really good points. We could have a very interesting discussion how multiple trailers are trading the same instrument on the same day but end up with very different results. I guarantee there's days when I lose money and some other trader has made money...

    Losing days

No problem. One thing I'm very consistent with is that two point loss. I never ever ever move it wider. I will move it to a negative one or a breakeven as I'm getting into a profit zone. That accounts for my breakeven's. Don't Talk much about breakeven trades, 20% of mine end up at zero...

    Losing days

Gotcha. Slow down. I had a 3 point winner as my first trade on Wednesday. Then lost precisely 6 points on the next 3 trades, three trades that I Had two point loss attached to them automatically. Net was -3 and done fir the day. And I did miss a two point loser today by following the no...

I see. By the way we did have a 31 point day range on the ES this month. I don't have my journal in front of me to look at what day that was. I think it was two Fridays ago. It wasn't nice gift I made 13 points that day! And I did pull a 5 point trade this week. But those events are rare. If...

Gotcha. You literally spelled out my exact strategy. Are you sure you're not spying on me? I use a two point stop on every single trade I enter on the ES. I target for 3 points when the VIX is less than 13. Which it has been for a long time. If A trade is fizzling out on me and I can...

    ES first 30 mins

today was yet ANOTHER day that staying out of that first trade saved me a 2 point stop out. I looked at my journal, and it is really obvious. Occasionally I miss a winner, there was one this week, but it is like 1 out of 10 trading days.

    Losing days

I follow that rule as well,,, 3 loses in a row and I am done for the day... that happened on Wed and I posted a small 3 point loss ( I trade ES, that's $150 per CT).... Losing days are just a part of it. I used to have these huge losing days because I traded too much and my stops were too...

I pull an average of 6 points per day... there is still 14 points of range per day on the ES going back 12 months, sure it is not the 22 points of range from last 10 years, but it is still workable. you just can't shoot for more than 2-3 points per trade. and we did have alot of days last...

How is ES dead? it still trades way more volume than the other index Mini's... there's plenty of opportunity on a daily basis. I used to trade NQ but switched to ES a few years ago, much better volume and more predictable moves...

Flash crash sends ETH price from $317 to $0.10

HMMM.... so how does it magically go from $.10 back to $330 instantly...hmmm, Let's take a guess. The exchange could undo the large sell order that caused this..or just set the price... I find it hard to believe that there were enough buy orders this fast to prop it up... just a thought
