OK,,, what is the question ??

well, maybe it is just me... not sure.... but from my actual trading results I can tell you that for NQ I am hitting my biggest wins,,, but the losses are more frequent. But, my average winner is more than my average loss... so okay now for CL, opposite,,,smaller wins, but smaller losses...

today 2 trades... one for break even... one for 10 tick loss...

I use the VXN to measure daily volatility on NQ is there any such type of measure for CL ? I think CL is less volatile, but that is just from trading CL now for a very limited time. I get whipped out of fewer trades VS NQ. thoughts please....

yes I was traveling I traded yesterday but freakin missed the cl big tade,, was in a nq trade

yes for sure... I cannot be too distracted and succeed... My original idea was that if I watched both CL and NQorES that since it is the energy sector vs. stocks... that if there was nothing happening for CL then maybe I would have trades on a stock index... or vice versa... hmmm...

that is daily range I am posting... does that clarify so it is daily range for 2017, daily for 5 years... etc.... 1,150 daily range ???? nope

those are very good points. I finally bailed on ES cause it just wasn't working for me. All along I have said that I want to know one asset inside out just as you mention. These are very tough decisions and I am still learning. more to think about. but for sure, I am very unhappy...

Well, I analyze the crap out of my trades... yes,,, catching 34 points inside of 65 range for the day was terrific. And I guess I am being yippity because I am not real happy with myself for the very result you are highlighting. You are asking me to ask myself some important questions...

actually you are incorrect... check your data... here are the hard numbers for NQ Range... today was 100 points, and the day I had that big trade was 65. there is terrific range on NQ right now. gee, for such an all knowing expert I would have figured you knew that. 12 month range 42...

uh... yeah buddy, thankx for rubbing it in... basically I tried to re-enter the short, I had a solid signal, but got stopped out. The remainder I pissed away on CL.... no mistakes in method, just got whipped out of 2 trades But when I am a perfect trader who does no wrong like you...

AARGHH,,, I was tied up on a NQ trade and missed this MASSIVE move down... just got a shot to jump on the train short 48.74 anyone catch this move??

yes yes.... that is why I do not sweat it... if I followed my rules and it is a good entry than no problemo...

It is like every trade I take , Immediately goes against me, yes a great percentage work out and I make money... but it still doesn't help when I enter and it is like the market says "oh that Jdesey guy is in, ok let's move the opposite direction" like today, I had an awesome NQ short...

It's interesting how these post going all kinds of different directions. I will read that article it sounds interesting. I don't think there's any one answer to what we're talking about. I agree with the previous poster and then we each have to find our own method and style that Is profitable...

yeah buddy... I have had 2 official blow ups... one in 2011 and one in 2015.... I think it is like a right of passage thing to be a trader.
