LOL, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the anti-shorting rules have doomed the markets to an eternal grind in the congestion zone.

No, I don't think the club is inept. They are using the govt as it's tool. They already control the purse for the various countries. It is they who profit from war. They profit from govt borrowing to meet its needs / wants. I see your point and it is frightening. I do see big govt as...

In that case, maybe we have a shot. Never has greater ineptitude been displayed than by big government.

They've owned us all for a long time. As Carlin said, "It's a big club folks, and you ain't in it."

Kitco IS buying precious metals, they're desperate for it. Fact is, they've increased the price they pay for silver maples and silver eagles. What's that say about supply & demand?

There's no doubt the wheels are coming off and we're witnessing systematic economic failure on a grand scale. I've been thinking this could happen for a long time not because I'm a prognosticator, but because I think I understand fundamental economics. I don't go around talking about it too...

They've effectively ruined any semblance of integrity the market may have had. It all feels phony right now.

I'm not dismissing the idea of default on US Treasury's. It's a very real possibility.

    Marketsurfer's bold gold proclamation

Nonetheless, it still shows a glimpse of underlying psychology. You're probably right about the short though. The powers that be don't want the dollar to look bad. It's the lipstick on the pig thing again. Have you looked to see if you can find an ounce of silver through traditional...

    Marketsurfer's bold gold proclamation

I don't know, but it sure looks like a flight to safety here. Maybe some still think gold and silver will be a store of wealth. If gold & silver weren't manipulated by 3 banks in cahoots with the Fed, the true price would be much higher. It's political, but eventually, real economics will...

Just curious Spec. Your ma's didn't even hint at support at 64 on that last run. How do you utilize the ma's in that situation?

    Marketsurfer's bold gold proclamation

We now have Freddie and Fannie being propped by the Fed. * Bear Stearns bailout...Merrill or Lehman next? * 11 banks so far requiring Fed takeovers; more to come. * Ford, GM with their hands out * 70 trillion in entitlements to retiring boomers * Hemorrhaging cash in Iraq *...

ABC corrections are common. I look for them after a larger move, but you never know. Just get back on the next signal if you're stopped out. Money management is the name of the game.

I don't think that was a bad trade. It just didn't follow through with a second leg. You kept your loss small. This is part of winning...

For the record, I don't use rule of 10, because I'm unclear on the various places you can begin the "10 count". I've seen Vol say he uses a 3 point stop and after one loss, his trading is done for the day. I don't think he uses it on trend days either. If you're wanting to understand it...

If I understand correctly, you're supposed to fade after the 10 pts has been made, gunning for 2 pts minimum. I guess the way Vol does it, he has a high win percentage. You can't always count on 10 pt moves, but evidently, you can pretty much count on getting 2 on the pullback once a solid...
