Yes, after realizing my first order was with sim, the price had fallen back a bit and allowed me to reenter with real account for same price. After the sim stuff closed, the only indication I had of my real order was my positions screen. I just watched that and when things got flaky, I bailed...

I got out with +1.5. Pleased, but also annoyed because I accidently got my first trade off in Sim and all the orders showing on the chart were for Sim. It captured +2, but my real order did not get filled. I had now lost visibility to my actual account and wasn't sure how to get it back...

Something to consider... If we go up again tomorrow, there are probably some stops above the daily range that could fire off and provide an additional upward burst. The markets are about taking away the most amount of money from the most amount of people in the least amount of time...and...

Looking at three possible setups. It hits R2 at 88.25 and reverses or it goes below R1 at 80.75 and attracts towards the central pivot at 75.75. Since anything can happen, it could go above 88.25 and keep on going. But seems least likely.

Ya, so far, it handily rejected the price at 80.75. I need to go to work though, and hopefully, the setup will still be taking place over the next 30 min.

We are at R1 at 80.75. Will be watching for s/r here.

4re This looks like one of those high flags I read about in an article you once posted. Do you think it's too volatile to retake the 83.75 at this point? Not really considering it, but just wondering about how you view it.

Yes, I did get filled, but the damage was mitigated by the fact I got in earlier at 83.75 and made +.75.

Long at 85, covered at 83. Gap fill? Higher yet? Anybody's guess.

I'm thinking if it cracks the bottom of the base its building at the pivot, it could easily go to 66 - 67.

Went short at 1274, figuring if it got into the gap it would close it. Picked up +2. This pleases me. :)

Discipline and consistency perhaps? No....see above. It's difficult to be hyper vigilant and catch every opportunity. Even if you do catch every opportunity, some setups invariably fail. But if it succeeds 6 times out of 10, you should, on balance, come out profitable. Does it...

Roger that. I've resorted to just trading one lots until I start to show some consistent gains.

I hopped in again at 68.25 short...saw a pennant formation on 15m and I associate that with a continuation pattern. Not 30 seconds later, it spiked up and busted me. OK, I guess it was 90 seconds later. :(
