No. I am using the price and volume % filters, along with 52 weak high and low filters to find a variety of stocks (about 50 a day). Then I load them into a tradestation algorithim which I am trying to get perfected to alert me to certain technical setups centered around decreased volatility.

You have to remember that "Market Maker" is vague b/c it depends on the instrument. NAS is dead. Almost all wholeslaers shut their doors and a few places survive. These guys are lucky to make 100K and most will be out of jobs within 3 years. I used to be one, but stopped trying to hang on...

I dont buy this. NASDAQ MM's are extinct for the most part. ECN's have all the order flow. The days of MM's manipulating stocks are done and supersoes killed their edge. I know this b/c I was one.

Yes, intraday only... I am also inclinesd to think that after a runup, the psychological power of feeling pain, is more powerful, than the thrill of making on a long... hence when a stock starts to drop on heavy volume, more people pile in.
