    Options Payoff Calculator

Hi guys, Most options payoff calculators only allow 4 legged strategies and I get why. Not least having an 8 legged order would be pretty hard to get filled. But I’m looking to get an idea of what my payoff will look like if I overlaid a couple of strategies in the same product/expiry. I...

Have Any Of You Traded Russell 2000 Volatility?

yup that’s the issue. It’s just an index. Not tradeable, like the VIX used to be but now that has options and futures. So my question was what would be the most efficient options strategy to mimic the RVX. Probably short atm straddle. But would need to delta hedge and all gets pretty complicated.

Have Any Of You Traded Russell 2000 Volatility?

Which index listed options would you use to construct a synthetic RVX? That was the point of the thread. Am I missing something here? The Russell has no tradeable VIX. There’s no listed option that mirrors it like with the S&P so how would you synthetically create on specifically?

Have Any Of You Traded Russell 2000 Volatility?

Hi, VIX is well known and there are futures and options contracts to trade it. There is a volatility index for the Russell 2000 ticker symbol RVX but it doesn't have any tradeable contracts from what I see, its just an index. But i'm sure people are still trading vol on other instruments...

Inequality in US may spur ‘terrible civil war’, says hedge fund billionaire

I agree with a lot of what you are saying. But missing one point. It’s about having that expert leader versus them going to another firm or another industry. Those outstanding leaders in the military on a couple hundred grand a year are every bit as good as a CEO at many companies but if the...

Playing straight into China’s hands. People don’t realise how lucky they are. Yet media has everyone polarised, tearing each other apart. There is so much opportunity out there. You can learn almost anything for free thanks to the internet. You can reach billions of people either for business...

A record 4.3 million workers quit their jobs in August

Ok, all the small business owners I interact with daily are telling me that the cost of hiring is so burdensome they can’t compete with what staff are asking for in todays market and are getting priced out the market is totally meaningless and the great and powerful Sig says he doesn’t have an...

A record 4.3 million workers quit their jobs in August

you did not address the specific assertion in the slightest. You just gave your personal experience amounting to a sample size of one business. secondly I also asked you what you would do to fix the situation in your opinion which you didn’t answer. So you either think the problem of...

A record 4.3 million workers quit their jobs in August

Why are you on a trading forum if you seem to be opposed to the basic tenants of capitalism? Which tends to be “right wing” believing in investing and utilising capital, individuals empowered as decision makers over the state making decisions and spending on your behalf and financial gains to...

A record 4.3 million workers quit their jobs in August

Are you having any difficulty hiring? If not then your opinion on why other companies are is no more valid than anyone else’s. Maybe the claims many business are are just them being “grossly incompetent”, overly political or imagining it. If you are having difficulty hiring what are your...

A record 4.3 million workers quit their jobs in August

whos meant to be the young, diverse, energetic party? The Democrats? For real? The young are more educated than probably any generation before them in certain fields, technology and software which is great. But they are also the most naive and ignorant to history generation we have ever had (and...

Are There Any Prop Firms/Funded Trader Programs For Options Traders?

Yes totally. If you’re talking about those huge firms then you would need to be making millions already if you wanted them to access new exchanges for you. And also with firms that large they have outside shareholders and are mandated to only trade certain strategies in certain markets etc. In...

Are There Any Prop Firms/Funded Trader Programs For Options Traders?

Yeah, that’s only if you were going there asking for backing in a market they have no experience in and would be taking a risk on you. If you want to trade a CME or Eurex product they will take you on based on you showing you don’t lose money and can put 10-20k up front. Or if going as a...

Are There Any Prop Firms/Funded Trader Programs For Options Traders?

Generally prop firms wouldn’t consider someone joining that wanted to trade on markets or exchanges they weren’t already familiar with. The turnover of people coming in to prop firms with grand ideas that don’t end up making money means it’s just not worth their time and effort getting access...
