    Another Very Simple Trading Strategy

I haven't been looking at NR days for too long, but a system trading NR days was published in Active Trader magazine and it is definitely not profitable to trade that system the last few years. I have just seen greater volatility but there are still tradeable trends there. COF was a NR4ID...

    Another Very Simple Trading Strategy

I agree, you have to be quick, ORB's are especially tough on NR7's and NR4ID's. A lot of people are playing them and that makes it more volatile. I have practically stopped trading NR days unless I know the stock well.

    Another Very Simple Trading Strategy

Yes, it's absolutely Crabel stuff plus stuff from Active Trader magazine, Thom Hartle articles. I track that plus open to high on + days for the last 30 days to get an idea of whereto put my targets. It some times gets me out too early, because its just an average and on breakout days it'll...

    Another Very Simple Trading Strategy

Personally, I use an Excel SS that tells me how much a stock moves from open to High on an up day which I find useful. I also have the opening ranges programmed into this ss.

    Who do you profit from?

Excellent article, reminds me of Alexander Elder's Triple Screen, where you look at the next time frame above. He likes a multiple of five.

Do not read if you're in a sad mood

I haven't read the whole thread, so I apologize if someone already brought it up. People don't commit suicide because they lose money. That may have been the straw that broke the camel's back, but there were other underlying reasons. I know of a woman who came out of school and found her...

    Larry Williams "Pro-Go" indicator

Pro Go is 2 lines, Close - Open = professionals and Open - Previous Close = amatuers. I believe he averages out 14 days and looks for the first line to cross second. This is the gist of it although I don't remember too well, he may have divided the two and averaged that.

    Why actively trade ETFs?

A trendline is not drawn from peaks and troughs but from where an O or X column is greater than the previous. Check out http://www.ez-pnf.com http://www.chartcraft.com/ChartcraftCollege.pdf for tutorials and do a search on google.

    Why actively trade ETFs?

Look @ PPH's move from the bottom without reversing 1%. Look @ trendline, we went right thru it now. Removed chart, it was updated thru 12/19 only, so I removed it and replaced it with the updated one with same trendline and of course the trendline was pierced a while back.

    Why actively trade ETFs?

Deron, I've been fiddling around a bit with ETF's, looking at them using Point and Figure charts. I read in Market Wizards about Gil Blake and how he mentioned the reason he preffered to trade sectors was because of a sector's 'trendablilty". In that book or perhaps Gary Smith's "How I Trade...

Toby Crabels " Day Trading with Short Term Price Patterns and ORB"

I think Toby Crabel's intention is having the opposite effect. He's doesn't want anymore ppl learning his methods, but just by not authorizing more printings, there is more demand for his work. I doubt there would be as much interest if his book were plentiful and sold for $50.
