I'm completely wrong?? name 1 retail trader with an audited track record trading the ES Profitably for over 6 months. Dont blame judgement and experience for failure. I've spent more time studying ES & SPY charts than it would take to get a bachelors degree and still couldn't make a profit...

I wonder why.. when you take random data and put it in chart form it provides the illusion of predictability. If I take several hundred spins of red and black from a roulette wheel and convert it to chart format, and place it side by side with an ES chart you probably wouldnt be able to tell...

not too impressed Joe, its Wednesday and you didnt show.. and your scalperhill twitter feed appears to be abandoned less than a month after you started. Backed by a "5 year track record" you were going to show everyone how to trade the ES profitably using 1 pt stops.

most quality trade setups naturally have a good risk:reward (tight stop), but remember just because your using a 1:3 risk:reward or better that doesnt replace having an edge. Try using a tight 1 point stop trading the ES with a 3 point target, it sounds nice but just doesnt work.

It didn't even bounce, so it could have another push down before the reversal. Tomorrow, if it drops below todays low of 8.60 and starts moving back up that might be a good spot to buy.

I agree, I think ES was a poor match for your breakout strategy, its just to choppy and full of retraces. CL should work better, but I think /GC (gold) would work best for breakout trades.

tlow, dont waist too much time and energy on backtesting, that was my mistake. The ES is just as random as a roulette wheel or the lottery. I've been trading it for 4 months and theres only 1 winner in this game.. my broker.

This is for ETF's or Futures, I dont trade Options. right
