Full disclosure: Closed this and one other trade at a profit, took one loss. Cluttering up the thread here - anyone else posting?

    Short TF M0 724.50 1 point stop.

How about a quick pop upside to take stops above 90, then an aggressive "shake out" down, accumulating for another drive back up into your 95?

ES likely to print 1190.50 after the announcment. How is everyone positioned? If we don't get the spike up first, downside looks an excellent opportunity to accumulate around 1183-84 for the move up. Wouldn't want to see it below 1180 before 1190 - I'd need to re-think.

You're providing liquidity in an area with forced sellers. Of course you want the thinnest contract to capitalise on the forced selling. From what I can see from historical data, the spreads are 5 cents wide in this contract at this time. 5 cent spread is better than 1 cent spread if you're...

    ES Journal Archive (2009 - 2010)

If you traded in Q4 '08 you'll like this. ES is 0.5 wide in more than 50 contracts for a few minutes today.... NQ 0.5 too. The good old days are back? I'm going to post this here, rather than in trading blotters as it isn't my blotter and I don't want to piss off the mods. This isn't mine...

Go outside? This was before the mass media convinced parents there was an immigrant pedophile terrorist hiding round every corner? Dodgeball? Isn't that too dangerous for children? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6535954 Snowball fights? The police don't like that these days...

    CL Redux

Hello again Schizo "Making calls is one thing, trading is another". True. Lets get on with trading! I'm no guru. I am not selling anything and I am not offering to teach others. I have participated in some trading discussions. You have replied to the effect that I've shown nothing of...

Good evening emg. Are you going to post some calls here? I would enjoy watching the reaction to that very much indeed. I didn't know it had a journal either until the thread starter asked me to post on it to prove I wasn't full of it...

Pivot? 84.27? I've been calling a weak market in CL all week. I gave a short trade above 85, another sell soon after, and stated that if I was trading longer term I'd look for 82, which was hit today. I didn't say I'm never wrong. I have been known to have 30+ winner runs, and wrong trades...

    CL Redux

Well managed. You are reading the flow very well. No harm in those trades if you can cut them and they don't cost you anything, but as you learn more you will stop taking them. The market was never going to drop from that location. Upside had to be faked first. Bailing and re-evaluating -...

Good trading. I don't understand the first CL trade though. A brain fart? Don't ever sell in that location. No trade there.

Shame, this looks like it will keep sliding. Not to worry - just carry on booking nice profits each day and soon there will be no hesitation.

Problem with stop at 76 is that it is likely you would have been high ticked. Best to get out and back in in those cases. There was a chance to sell again as it crossed 60 to the downside the third time. You got it - did you take profit?
