anyone know what happens if you short a stock for the longer term (position/swing trade) and then it splits ?
just wondering cause i noticed EXPE just split
thanx
ive sort of started doing this with the canslim/ ibd stocks......... looking to short weak fundamentals stocks, and go long strong fundamentals stocks, but like you said , waiting for the technical analysis to tell you when to get in.
jester, if you dont mind me asking ............. what firm is ''our'' firm ??
you could pm me and tell me if you would not like to post in the thread
thanx--------tko
jack,
i have a couple questions for you. i got introduced to canslim about a month or two ago through my girlfriend. ive read the book and also have ibd. ive just recently started using the system to pick out some stocks, both weak and strong. i definetly refer to my own technical...
just curious, if you cant advertise , where and how do most of you hedge fund managers get your clients ?
besides the ones that are family and friends ?
i am wondering where most people cut their losses, based on percentage wise only for position trades.
ive heard some people say 2% and i know some canslimmers say 7 to 8 % , but 7 to 8 seems like too much for me.
thanks in advance !
i dont have IBD yet but i do have the book, so i dont really know too much of how the system works using the paper but ........ like inandlong said earlier in the thread, it sounds like a great way to pick out which stocks have good fundamentals. but just because stock ABC has good fundamentals...
i dont have ibd so i dont know, but dont they post stocks which are down and not doing too well, and if so -- have you tried shorting them ??
just wondering
seems like they would have to get the crappy ones right , especially in this market.
