Anyone else hit the burnout point with trading?

You are spot on. I kept my steady income stream trade on but tried to add in additional day trading that I normally don't do. My position size was fine but I did put too many trades on and it was more than I usually manage. The over-trading led me to make an entry mistake in my steady trade that...

Selling Puts with distant expiration dates

Cash secured puts then covered calls... not a bad place to start if the underlyings are sound but during covid when we see blue chips swinging 50% the timing might be tough. I don't know what you are trading.

Carl Icahn: "I Fired 12 Floors of People"

Are you the guy in my neighborhood with the PLAN B vanity plate on your 911? I forget the plate on the Ferrari... I think it had a purple heart. If that is you they are beautiful.

Anyone else hit the burnout point with trading?

This is the perfect place to whine!! Many of us are like you and trade alone at home. My wife, like yours, is now stuck working from home with a much higher stress from her increased workload. Wanting to get her retired, and seeing her work so hard all day while now at home, has led me to...

    Writing ITM Covered Calls

I never liked selling calls without also selling puts but that's the neutral, mean reversion, max theta burn guy in me talking. For example if I was holding 200 shares I'd rather sell 1 call and 1 put than just sell 2 calls. Ideally I'd sell 2 on both sides but everyone option seller finds their...

    The robinhood rally continues

Question is... did they turn their paper gain into a real gain or are they letting their winner run? Could we say the same for those smart traders that bought HTZ & JCP & LK this week? Hmmmm

Online gambling is all we have right now. Money is being made and lost daily in this casino. Buffet is right... you can't invest in airlines right now but you sure can gamble on them... place your bets!

    Best strategy to invest $500

I'd concentrate on doing well in med school as your income will likely outpace your market gains... at least early on. I'd likely tell you to dca into QLD and call it done but that is me. Good luck!

I Got this one wrong guys.....

This is a hard ass market. There will be life changing affects on traders and investors. Wealth will be created and destroyed by these markets. Like the Great Depression, family wealth will change. So many things will determine who survives and who dies... and those that just get by.

    Jesse Livermore - Market Key

I have read the book many times. It is sad he took his life. I'm glad he bought an annuity beforehand... it shows his passion to take care of his own and it wasn't all selfishness. So many good trading lessons that were shared before his death. I often wonder how much it affects my trading today.

    Who is the richest here?!

It's not what you make it's what you keep. Wealth is time freedom. So many definitions of rich. Using trading account size as the yardstick is small thinking.
