    The ACD Method

I totally agree with you Maverick. Although we seem to use different methods I have come to the same conclusion and have been using the downs days to buy more and reposition.

    Game Over Loss

So, is there a trend or is there not a trend? Do you plan to trade with or against the trend? How do you define a trend? If you know the answer to those questions you can answer how you would trade. This is what you need to figure out for yourself and your personality and beliefs before you can...

Anyone position-trading emerging markets or commodities?

There is no right answer Steve. That answer is different for everyone. Although I use EMAs I rarely use them as a crossover to tell me to buy and sell in a trade. I use them more to tell me DIRECTIONS of the trade when confirmed by other signals that tell me the same thing. I use other factors...

I completely understand following your system. Just sharing with you that my system would pass on this trade as a low probability trade. Good luck to you and I too hope your trade is profitable.

I appreciate the trend line support on the uptrend but I think several indicators suggest that this is a trend line that is likely to get broken soon. I think there is a decent probability that this will correct to $25.52 to 25.95 range. Personally, I would not take the trade because I think...

    On the Path to Profitability

This is such BS from you I am Nobody. You may have left ET for good and that's fine by me. You will likely still comeback and read what I am writing if for nothing else than curiousity... So I will say this to you. You remind me of Hillary and Bill twisting words to have such minutiae detail...

    On the Path to Profitability

I tried to give I am Nobody the benefit of the doubt to hopefully learn something but if I had NO experience I might believe him. I may not have 20 years trading experience but in my 8 years I can honestly say that never having 2 losses in a row is complete BS. Just for giggles I ran a...

Soros goes bearish on stocks - bullish on gold.

Ok. Again trade what you believe. But I have been making money on long gold position. It's not only the daily charts but the weekly charts. Here is a simple chart showing the new (In my opinion) uptrend in Gold. The chart shows Gold above 50 WEEK EMA, above the zero line on MACD, and above its...

Anyone position-trading emerging markets or commodities?

I am sorry but my definition of a trend being broken is only partly based on EMA crossovers. I mostly use Support and Resistance lines along with other indicators and finally EMA as a small part. For me they must all match up on multiple time frames and all saying the same thing. Of all of those...

    Game Over Loss

When I first started trading I noticed I had a several days like this. For me it seemed to resolve when I thought of this like a business. If you were the owner of a grocery store and buying milk and fruit to sell but that milk and fruit started to go bad you would off load it quick at a reduced...

    We all trade our beliefs

Soros goes bearish on stocks - bullish on gold.

I would disagree. It's making higher highs and higher lows from recent lows of $1046. It is also trading in an upward channel and nearly every indicator and signal shows its formed/forming a new uptrend on multiple timeframes and on increased volume.

    On the Path to Profitability

I am nobody, Please clarify somethins for me. I appreciate that everyone has their own way of doing things and although I would consider myself a successful trader that routinely beats the market I am on ET to talk with like minded people (as you know it gets boring trading by yourself) and...

What is the difference between traders using TA and tapereading?

I have no idea how to program nor do I have the desire, time, inclination to learn. I am more than capable of learning but it doesn't interest me. Should I quit trading despite my ability to manage risk and do better than any money manager would have done for me? Absolutely not. I agree it would...

    On the Path to Profitability

I suspect iamnobody has MENTAL stops and has enough discipline and experience to follow through on taking those stops. I think he is talking about not having a stop loss order entered in the market for others to see. I agree that risk of ruin increases because most of those people don't know...

    How do you cut losses?

I agree and also disagree with your statement. True that this is no way to trade by keep averaging down losers. That's poor money management. You add to winners not losers. However, I disagree with the assumption that you cannot outperform the market and hedge funds because they have all the...

    ES Journal - 2016

Lol. I think we have very different methods Handle. I don't know the first thing about options. But you seem to make it work. It also seems you have a different time frame than me. I tend to stay in trades from a few days to several weeks and at times months. So I look at daily and weekly charts...
