Thanks for following up. So you didn't get the high - no matter how you look at it, that was an incredible hold and nice exit. Considering that most in this journal are intraday trading (well, JimmyJam has been converted I think) your ability to hold that position and add on during volatility...

Buy1Sell2: No one seemed to bat an eye when you posted that you had sold your entire long ES position, and were holding on to all ES puts. As a position trader (and that was a position you built methodically and held for quite some time), that was a major exit. I would like to hear (and...

    Important Decisions

Good advice.......some of us on this site speak from real world experience. Go for it, you will never be as free as you are now. If you don't go the individual trader route, combine a job and trading - get an entry level job on a trading desk at a money management firm, brokerage house...

Osorico - thanks for your input, nice analysis. You and Apex82 seem to be on the same page as far as cycle analysis. Tomorrow should be an extremely interesting day - lets see if the night trading brings any big players/moves. Looking forward to your S/R level postings all.........

Question # 1 Anyone short all day on this action - either out at EOD or still holding overnight? (Osorico, you were one of them, congrats.) Question # 2 Are we now in a downtrend - or is this the crouch down before the next jump up? Just looking for some discussion and debate here.....

Can someone here please fill me in on what happened this afternoon - I had to leave for the day and was out of touch from 1:00 pm EST on. It looks like the stock indexes fell off a cliff in the last hour, anyone care to give their opinions......

Thanks Apex - also want to say thanks for posting your charts, they're a great learning tool for seeing how price reacts at the various S/R levels.

Makes me think about Spectre's comments about the concerted effort to shake out weak longs before the next push up. Or was that you Apex that said that, can't remember, seems to be happening no matter what:p

Apex, is this that bond trade you were talking about a week or so ago with the huge risk/reward ratio? Your ability to call price action is uncanny and downright scary at times:eek:

Banks Sell 'Toxic Waste' CDOs to Calpers, Texas Teachers Fund

:p You got that right Hydro! The Street is the best marketing machine in the world. Take crap, break it apart, repackage it into severy shiny new boxes, and price and sell it as gold - and make sure to take fees and commissions at every point of the way. Then repeat. Nice work if you can get...

Banks Sell 'Toxic Waste' CDOs to Calpers, Texas Teachers Fund

There is nothing new on Wall Street, they just keep coming up with new ways to slice and dice risk, and then sell it off piece meal to anyone that will buy it. Caveat emptor is the way of the Street. Welcome to the wonderful world of derivatives!

Questions for a few traders here: B1S2: I have a stupid question on the charts you post. What are the lines you have posted as an overlay to price bars - the red, green, and gray - are they moving averages, bollinger bands? Spectre2007: You use the Squawk, I never have - how do you...
