    5% - 10% profit per day trading

I'm trading all day. Idea's today, Soybeans, am looking for a retracement to get long. We have broken out of a range that has held for 7 months on high volume. Crude; looking for a long around 52.80 or failing that 51.70. Will fade on smaller size off resistance.

Taking 320K to 3.5million by Year End 2009

I would take a break for a couple of weeks Neke. You don't want a run of bad weeks to affect your future trading.

The 3-2-1 Approach: A Simplified Method for Trading Any Market

What are the factors behind CC view of the market going lower on Monday? I can see the weak close and the normal variation day down. The 'time clock of the market' to borrow a Steidlmayer concept appears to indicate the down move is stopping and the fact we are reaching a significant...

well this week was always going to be fairly random and less tradable due to the contract roll over. It should settle down into a less random pattern now. The distribution today was balanced with selling extremes @$49 and buying extemes @ $47.80.

    Steidlmayer on Markets (2nd Edition)

Yes that chapter is certainly the most relevent but again it is hard to pull the key concepts out of Hawkin's writting style. I prefer Steidlmayers stuff from CBOT.

    Steidlmayer on Markets (2nd Edition)

Hi - Yes that is a good analogy. I suppose the only way to apply MP will be to observe the profile and price action and draw my own conclusions. Thanks.

    Steidlmayer on Markets (2nd Edition)

Has anyone read this? I am reading it and am pretty disappointed in the content. My opinion is It seems less about market profile and more about his software and most is written by a guy called Steven Hawkins who cannot convay a clear message. Am i missing something here? My problem with...

Open Out Cry and Market Profile

Hi, Inter-day volume (through esignal atleast) is tick volume which is based on the amount of times the price changes in a period as opposed to actual transactions. The profile graphic will be formed from tick volume data as standard.

Open Out Cry and Market Profile

I trade CL and am interested in applying market profile. However, CL still bieng an open outcry session does not have intraday volume as far as I know. I am not exactly sure how the open outcry session works but are the transactions recorded in time & sales in real time? If so, is there...

The 3-2-1 Approach: A Simplified Method for Trading Any Market

Hi, I have been reading this thread and am in the process of learning market profile. I note that you consider the b formation after a downmove to be indicative of lower prices and the p move following a up distribution again as indicative of higher prices to come. Dalton suggests that...

    5% - 10% profit per day trading

I don't know. I think this will retrace all the way to $54 now. It has gone past the 61.8% retracement level. We have had a relaxation of the mark to market rule, a G20 success and some bullish economic data but this is not the end of the economic problems and oil demand is not going to...

Still on the sidelines here. I am not happy with the trendline break. I would have liked to have seen big red candles underneath the trendline but on most charts there are doji's and hammers.
