There are many other options: Don't trade options: Don't trade stocks priced below $5 per share. Let your option expire. Etc.

I've been trading since 1969, and profitable since 1984. I have sympathy for you if you are trying to learn this craft. There's plenty of information and material available, and most of it doesn't work. Those who know how to trade, usually have little interest in teaching.

I don't care if the market is random or not. I care if I can money reliably in the market. Last year, I made 147% profit, year-over-year. This year, I have made 36% in the past 2 months.

I can save you some time. MA crossovers don't work for any meaningful period of time (6 months or longer). I have tried them all.

I traded 15 years before I made a profit year-over-year. Since that first profitable year, I have made a profit every year. Last year, I made 138% ROI. Good luck, but don't expect it quickly.

Back testing tells you what would have happened if you has done so-and-so. It does not predict what will happen if you do such-and such. :)

A few people have tested my systems. When they follow the system, they get about the same results I do, but few people are able to stick with a rule-based system.
