"Breaking News Stock futures surge as Fed collaborates with global central banks to improve liquidity 9:02am EST" So crazy how these events end up happening at key technical levels... what I was looking at last night -...

Next important zone I see is 1523-1525. If weakness shows up there, I'd expect a 20-30 point retracement. Looking at it closer, that would work out pretty textbook if the retracement tagged ~1495 then continued to one last high... but thats all ideal scenario stuff :D

Histogram based 2-4 hour chart plays

JSSPMK, I was wondering where you had been since I hadn't seen you as much in the ES Journal. Looks like you're doing good over here, I'll keep checkin the thread out and watching for divergences. :) Are you looking only for divergence on 2-4 hour charts? Any reason for not liking the hourly?

Tyler- Sorry, I completely misinterpreted your post. We're on the same side with this one :)

Ron Paul on the Dollar Problem

What? You're from Virginia right? To start the FDA is the FOOD & Drug Administration.... not just drugs. His issue is largely related to supplements and foods, not just pharmaceuticals (including the ones that get ya fucked up). So you're saying you illegally take drugs that the FDA hasn't put...

Ron Paul on the Dollar Problem

I made a small one aswell yesterday. I feel this guy has a very strong grassroots following, the message just needs to get out to the mass's.

Will 3:30 crew stick to their game again? edit: totally didn't deliberately post that on the exact minute :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but on strongly impulsing moves like this, price is more likely to continue to the upper end of a resistance zone before finally turning. Sort of like a loaded up 18 wheeler as compared to a car... more momentum requires more time to stop

Leaving a buy order sitting at 18.50 with a stop not too far away.

I'm truly kicking myself in the ass now for not acting on this... went to the gym and come back to see markets +15 from where I was thinking of entering a trade with 3 points of risk. possibly coincidence that this Abu Dhabi deal coincides with the TA but isnt that how it usually ends...

Apex is the godfather of this TA, but that was always my understanding. sqrt(.618) = .786 ... whether the level is a self-fulfilling prophecy or what I have no clue. ...and thanks for the compliment apex, im grinning :D

And now the 60-min chart... MUCH more bullish. MACD and RSI divergence And I'd love for Apex to chime in on this one, but would this be considered a 5-wave downmove with a smaller time-frame climactic 5-wave move at the very bottom (The double climactic wedge you've shown a few times?)

I wanted to frontrun tomorrows traffic back into Boston and none of my friends are back yet so I've got some time to kill... here are some charts :) For better or worse I do all my analysis on SPX and just add the premium to ES when looking to trade. It just doesn't seem to make much sense to...

If MB wouldn't mind me chiming in, the SDS, QID, and DXD are another way of leveraging a short position by being long an ETF. Its a way of getting around IRA "long-only" rules. SDS = S&P, QID = NASDAQ, DXD = DOW... If the S&P goes down 1% for the day, your SDS position goes up 2%. You could...

stopped out... like you said, big R:R there, worth the shot. J/W how did you go about deciding the 1431 stop? The 1433.25 shoulder plus some breathing room or based on some fib levels? Whatever it was, it kept you in the trade while it was still valid while mine stopped me out right from the...

I'm watching it right now too... very close to buying and putting a stop at 1533. If you check out the 60 minute chart too you've got textbook divergence going on. :edit: long 34.50 stop at 33.00... sleeping on it

I left a resting order at 1495, with a 3 point stop in the overnight. Nice to see it got hit while I'm at work. I just lowered my stop to 1493 to lock it in. 1490 has been a MAJOR level in SPX over the past 6 months plus its the 50% retracement from the 1520 high. I dont think this will be a...

Good eye. I never really look at the individual components but when they're aligning like this I think its something at least worth noting. FWIW NDX is 10 points from the 61.8% Fib. I'm gonna watch for the negativity to carry over into globex... if some support shows up it could be a good...

Is there an issue if a trendline doesn't fit on a log scale? I always use linear charts. I think its safe to say that it (and any huge market move) was a combination of all of these things. Early buyers of March support + -10% + TL = massive V-bottom.

I rarely see it mentioned, but there was a trendline touch at 1370 from the low in 2003 right before the market took off. The bigger the timeframe, the stronger and more highly regarded the TL is. I think you had anyone in the world that wanted this bull market to continue lined up as buyers...
