Your analysis is spot on. EUR/JPY should also start showing weakness too. I'm going short at 129.90 here.

You could buy a stock on margin and either buy puts or sell calls to hedge your directional exposure. However, the problem with this strategy is that the dividend yield must be high enough to cover the costs (margin interest for example).

I am surprised that people are even willing to accept IOUs in the first place. There is no guarantee at this point (considering how bad California's finances are) that these will even be honored in the future.

Ok, I sold half of my position at 133.80. I still think EUR/JPY will reach 133 soon but it probably won't happen today.

Forex, like ES, tends to be less active at night, but EUR/USD usually picks up around 12-1 A.M.

Good point Nsideus. Options are unique because you just have to "not be wrong" if you write them. I like FX and futures better because they tend to be more liquid.
