In defense of Jim Rogers, I believe he has mentioned that the commodity bubble cycle will last through 2018. Since he is a long term investor, I doubt one year will change his long term forecasts. Besides, Rogers has been spot on with almost all of his other calls.

I thought of that too but I don't think Walmart would want to take on huge amounts of debt and hard to value assets onto their own balance sheet. I think Walmart will eventually create their own bank and start off by doing check cashing services, etc... in their stores.

The volume of almost all ETFs have gone up over time as many mutual fund holders are shifting over to them. Your reasoning is sound but I think the volume of markets should be looked at instead of ETFs that emulate them.

Only stocks, bonds, options, mutual funds (correct me if I'm wrong here) are covered by SIPC but unless you're holding futures for an extended period of time they're also "cash" so they would also be protected.

You can trade 24/7 but outside of market hours the spreads widen and might make it more difficult to trade. Some say the best time to trade EUR/USD is early morning here because that is when there is a overlap between European and U.S. market but I have never noticed any difference.

Does MB Trading give you forex charts? I've been looking around their MBT Navigator platform but haven't been able to find it.

I've tried out their platform and the fact that they are an ECN broker is a big plus, but what is the general consensus here about them as a forex broker? Thanks in advance.
