What happens to small REFCO customers $$$ ?

This sounds good. I have been looking into Canadian brokers as well and there is what appears to be a Canadian equivalent to the FDIC. It's called the Canadian Investors Protection Fund (cipf) see http://www.cipf.ca Apparently you don't have to be a Canadian citizen and also you don't have to...

That would be from the regulated portion of the company. What about from the unregulated part of the company; ie, RefcoFX Associates, LLC and other unregulatd operating units?

Apprently the Canadians that are account holders are in good shape as they are protected by something that is provided to Canadians that work with firms that are participants in the Canadian Investor Protection Fund: http://www.cipf.ca Account holders are apparently protected up to 1...

    RefcoFX Bidders?

Does anyone know if refcofx has any suitors? I spoke with a gentleman at the CFTC and he said that everyone he had spoken to regarding refcofx said that this unit was profitable. Presumably that would mean that this unit, if able to be broken away from the Refco parent, would have some value.
