Stocks to buy now

It's ok then; the market forgives you. It will even give you another chance to kick the football, and it will hold it for you.

On the other hand, no two bull or bear markets are exactly the same - so if people say "it's different this time", they're correct - every time.

How Do We Nail the Bottom?

I no longer believe that you're for real. No one can be that stupid. You are somewhat entertaining, but only for a short time, and then you get annoying.

Why "average down" comes naturally to the average Joe?

... or if you get lucky.

    You ain't seen nothing yet!!!!

That's true, I spoke to him recently, and he asked me to fill in for him while he's away. Shorts are going to get killed in the next monster rally! This is just a media-hyped recession - the fundamentals of the economy are sound. [insert isolated statistic proving this] I know how things...

    You ain't seen nothing yet!!!!

Isn't anyone going to assert that this is just a mental recession, fabricated by the media, that there is no housing crisis, and that the Dow will be at 14,000 by the end of the year? No one?

Why "average down" comes naturally to the average Joe?

He would almost definitely average down, and hang in there for the "long term". Then he'd give up and sell at the bottom, just before the big rally. Then he'd say "I'm done with trading - it's just a big scam" and stick to plumbing.

    **This is ridiculous**

Not to nit-pick, but you just spoke against issuing blanket statements, and then said "america is the best on earth". In what way or ways do you think that America is the best (nation) on earth, or for what reason(s)? Thanks.

    **This is ridiculous**

Let's just say that the problems can't be summed up in one or two words. And if you look to put the blame, you could put the blame on any of the following: - the great majority of all US presidents since Jackson - the existence central banks worldwide, including the Fed - over-leveraged...

Stock_trd is going to be bullish no matter what. I'm glad to hear that; as long as there are people out there who are more foolish than myself, I should continue to do OK.

So doesn't using "tight stops" necessitate

Use of stops, tight or loose, and the success thereof obviously depends on specific strategies. It's not possible to say that there aren't successful strategies that use relatively tight stops. And even though the 1,000 little losses can kill you, so can "the big one" - and it will kill...

    How are loans paid back?

In other words, it "works" for the central banks, who profit handsomely from said Ponzi scheme, such that they have everyone, even governments, by the balls. The only way to theoretically break the cycle would be for everyone simultaneously to stop using central banks' fiat currency. I say...

    Economy By Chavez....Socialists Take Note

I agree with everything you said, except for one thing: it's NOT IDIOCY on the part of the lawmakers, they know what it is they're doing. After 8 years of the worst president in history ruining the country socially and economically, people are ready to embrace socialism with both arms...

    "80% of traders lose money."

I think the government should subsidize traders, so that everybody wins. Otherwise, it's just not fair.
