What version of TWS are those that are having problems using? I have held off on installing the latest version (using 760.3), and I am having no problems. Perhaps the problem is related to a particular version :confused: . Good luck.

I agree. I wish row focus would not be lost when an order is filled. It is particularly frustrating when working two orders and one gets hit multiple times with partial fills. You have to re-select the order you want to enter two or three times! This can be a problem if the market is moving...

AAA (or anyone else that knows), I have to show my ignorance here. How is the stock loaning business lucrative? I can see why a trader would want to sell a future instead of short the stock, but I don't understand how the big boys make money loaning stock. Thanks for any explanation.

Quicken Quotes Live offers a link that works well. The after hours and pre-market quotes are questionable especially for QQQ.

Why do you suppose the market went down so hard when it looked like terrorism, and came back when it looked like an accident? While tragic, the damage is the same either way. I don't really understand the markets violent reaction to possible terrorism :confused: .

Alanm, Thanks for the odd lot, mixed lot explanation. I have been having problems with mixed lots routed through BEST for the last few weeks. The even part will execute well, but the odd part seems to sit until someone else takes it out. This if fine when the market moves fast in my favor...

I buy and sell QQQ in odd lots over 100 every day with IB. Sometimes there have been delays/problems filling the odd part for the last few weeks, but not as much with QQQ as with NAS stocks.

I'm not sure what causes this problem, but I had it when I got a new machine. I pulled a 3com nic out of another machine and put it in the new one. Everything worked great then. It will probably be a lot quicker and easier for you to just replace the nic with one that IB says will work rather...

Nitro, Why do you have 2 sdsl lines? Is it a bandwidth thing? I have a cable modem and a dsl thinking that if the phone lines go down the cable might be up a vise a versa. Is there an advantage to having two dsl lines (instead of cable and dsl)?
