You can obtain very good laptops for cheap now, they are becoming cheaper and cheaper each day. 8GB is not common though, you can really prepare to spend like around $1000 for your needs with fast SSD as well and good graphics card too, just go for ASUS brand, never had any problems.

Have you tried some chinese websites or ebay for that matter ? I can tell you that in cases like yours I always look for such things in AliExrpess website and it really helps me to go to solve my problems for basically anything. Just type your matrix type in their search;)

It's good that you were even able to install it honestly. I assume it's maybe that it's not that compatible with old one or new one or size of memory not supported by the motherboard or voltage problem or notebook one. Please post here some replies;)

Like many said get SSD or even NVMe M.2, multicore CPU cheapest one, integrated video, lot of fast DDR4 RAM like 16 GB at minimum. All this on latest windows and that's it. As for second monitor it's nice to have ability if you will use it. Do you use it ?
