Deutsche Bank's dbFX - new FX broker option

The banks also want their cut on the FX retail biz now apparently. Looks to me like ABN Amro got the better deal with Oanda inside than DB with FXCM inside :)

    Oanda Spreads

Hotspot is nice, but i wouldnt use their order-system(SL, limit). One gets weird executions with them accompanied with weird explanations by their customer-support. If you dont use orders, its quite good IMHO.

    Anyone traded propfx live?

I dont get why they widen the spread instead of charging a commission like everyone else that offers currenex. Besides, doesnt that sorta contradict their STP-claim..

ForexServicesCanada : Anybody heard and traded with them ???

Man, what sort of outfit is that. They dont even provide an office adress, not even a po-box, it cant be found on their application forms either..

    Currenex Compatible Platforms?

Currenex, Inc. has introduced CX SmartOrder™, an FX trading platform that allows traders to leverage algorithmic trading models, manage orders, and reduce market impact. This stand-alone platform runs on a trader’s own computer and includes standard trading models as well as a secure...

    Segregated funds or not?

I have been told that some brokers accept AAA Bonds as security instead of cash, and that that would be the most secure way to trade. Anyone knows if that is true, and if yes, how exactly that works?

PeteHS: What is the reason for that rule? It sounds a bit odd in the electronic trading age..

    Forex ECN, VS NASDAQ ECN

Hi, I have been checking out Hotspot (retail) and i like it so far. The only minor gripe that i have is, that you arent allowed to change orders if the price is within X pips. I have been told that is a common practice on more professional multibank plattforms. Is that true, and if yes, whats...

FORGET ABOUT OANDA, new kid on the block is..

Sem: Yes, i wondered the same, about the minis. Then again, you can trade at 25k increments at IB if i am not mistaken? BTW, whats the difference between a real ECN and something like IB offers? Regards, pippi

    AFXI ECN Broker

I just browsed their manual. The plattform doesnt show marketdepth. They talk about dealer-confirmation and requotes in the manual. Doesnt look like an ECN to me.

What are the options for trading on CURRENEX for a retail trader?

Theres also PropFX from fxcm. 10k minimum balance, 50k minimum trade, no commission, no volume requirements. They claim they make their money from volume discounts. I know this smells a bit fishy and isnt the real thing, but if it absolutly HAS to be currenex, this would probably be the easiest...

    Problem with MB-Trading Client

Hi, i recently checked out the MB-Trading demo. The platform looks nice so far, but i experience a bug: the quotes displayed look like this: http://homex.subnet.at/q/mb.jpg The wrong digits of the quotes are printed in large letters. Customer-Support says its likely because of my...
