    Forex Daytrading a Losing game?

IluvVol: you are asking for proof? The only one i see making claims here is you. I think its on *you* to prove your claim that longer term charts are less erratic than short term charts. Any hard hard analysis to support your theory? P.S. can is see your 5+ year trackrecord on how...

How does IB calculate accrued interest on FX positions?

How big is your position? You will not be credited interest on the 1st 10k, but you will still be charged. So if you are short 10k units of EUR/USD you will pay interest for 10k EUR but recieve interest for about only 4k USD (10000*1.4450-10000), assuming an EUR/USD rate of 1.4450.

    Auto-trading software for Interactive Brokers

I know about: *Openquant *Rightedge *Neoticker *Ninjatrader In terms of reliability, keep in mind IB releases new TWS versions very often, this is a source of potential compatibility problems. You may also want to opt out of the secure device if you want your software to automatically...

$52k gone from my IB account. What next, sue IB?

According to the IB customer agreement the risk of IT failure of any kind is entirely on the customer. But noone can tell what a court would decide or what the result of an arbitration would be.

    interest rate parity question

There isnt such a thing as a "fair value" for currency exchange-rates. Like every other security, its price is determined according to supply and demand. High-yielding currencies usually appreciate in relation to low-yielding currencies, but this relation is not set in stone. Interest rates are...

    Counterparty?

Even on ECNs your broker will act as formal counterparty to your trades, and settle with the participating institutions, because an individual trader will not meat the criterias to be recognized as counterparty by banks and the likes. This passage in your broker-agreement doesnt say anything...

Why is there no volume on Forex?

Yes they display the depth of course, like every ecn, but not the transaction volumes ala futures. Brokers do not want to disclose their volume-figures, its sensitive information, it directly translates to how profitable they are. (I.E. you can calculate the commission revenue of FX Marketspace...

You can only use market and limit-orders on FXi, theres no issue with a 10-pip clause. I only know that from talking to a FXi trader, i dont trade there personally. Maybe give them a call?

Why is there no volume on Forex?

FX Marketspace is the only venue i know who publishes their spot-turnover. At the moment volume seems still non-existant. You can even calculate how much commission-revenue they generate (not very much).

    Forex Brokers. Too many!

If you do that, you should describe exactly what happened. Also, spamming every thread with "IB sucks" may get you banned (dont forget IB is a sponsor here). It would probably be the best to start an own thread in the retail broker section, describing your case in a comprehensive way, without...

    Felix Sells Out

I have read on another board that his 25% commission rebate on MBT is not that you get commissions refunded in cash - but that he will buy subscribers "christmas presents" every end of the year worth the same ammount. A real 25% discount would make this broker somewhat more interesting, but this...

    Forex Brokers. Too many!

Regardless if MBT or EFX, $100 per mio. GBP/USD or $70 per mio. EUR/USD per side is just ridiculously high. ECN or not, this is to much.
